I have found first crystal and have talked to fairy and have crossed water but can't get across bridge - I know this is part one so is that the end of the game?
i've also started playing. i've gotten 2 keys, talked to the fairy and guardian, gotten magic, gotten a sign and read it, pressed the stone and opened some stairs downward, but it won't let me go down because i need light. help?
You need to find a torch -

try looking at the mountains for a way through - there are 2 spots you can get into extra rooms, the one with the torch in is as far right as you can go - but make sure you save your game before you enter!

ah, i saw those two places, but i've tried "using" "talking" "walking" and all my items and it won't let me go thru them??
Have you got the green magical sphere that has power to break some material, if you have then are you using it on the right area -

go south from the little bridge, then east past mountains enclosing 2 barrels - go east and you will come to the place that can be opened using green sphere
wow, green sphere? nope, i have absolutely no idea where that is. is it being guarded by the monster, or have somethign to do with the signpost? sorry to ask so much, but i am really quite stuck and have wandered around the map a hundred times.

It's near the place where the game starts (other side of the lake). You must open a hidden room.

have you spoken to the fairy and the guardian to get the freeze spell? If you have that you need to use it on the monster at the beginning then search the trees to get a shovel - use the shovel on the grave and you will find another sphere to open up the mountain
*sight*.. well, I froze the moster, looked near the trees.. used the hand-icon on them.. well, tried everything.
But I still can't find anything!
I've been looking around them for almost more then an hour now.. please ! help me!

when you have froze monster - there is a clump of trees nearby which you can walk into you will find the shovel somewhere in this clump
I don't understand the note about the maze:
"s" for south
"n" for north
"w" for west
"e" for east
and "i"??????????????????
"i" for ignore

Please download the full game that is now available. The screen resolution has been changed to 640x480 and the GUI have some changes to, which makes it easier to find those pesky hotspots.

Leave the maze. Then return back and immediatly look at the note and follow the name...

What name do you have on the note....

Follow the name, if it's Niwen, for example, then N = North, I = Nothing ignore it and go to W = West, E = East and finally N = North again NiWEN. However Niven is not one of the possible names you might have on the note. There are 4 possible names but just follow the above instructions

The room below the stairs that have the text "Enter the maze at your own risk" written on the floor is not a part of the maze. First when you go north once from that room you have entered the maze.
I have tried this several times now and I always gets to the room with the first crystal.
I've been trying to figure out the maze for the past ten minutes. I already figured out that we needed to use the nore, but everytime we follow the name nothing happens! We've tried over and over and still no crystal room. We have Eswinn, and keep on going east south west north north like we are supposed to, but no luck.

The note is posted on the sign by the bridge. You have to click on it twice for Melrin to take it. It has something written on the backside of it.

You have something in your inventory that can help you get down of the second cliff.... Use it on the cliff itself.

I got the key in the barrel to open the house to get the robe to make the fire spell. So now I have the fire spell and need to use it on the Phoenix right? Or do I have to talk to the fairy of the heart first? If so, where is she?

No just use the spell on the phoenix bird, but you might want to save your game before entering just in case you would be hit by one of the fire balls.
I try to get this levitation spell, I've already got the red flower, the ceramic bowl, the stool and the coin. what about this papyrus roll? where is it? and how do I mix all this together? when the message says 'cauldron' does it mean the bowl or do I have to get another item? Help, I spent last 20 minutes trying anything but I got stuck...

The couldron is a metal bowl. How do you know you need a papyrus roll? From what did you get that information?

You put them in the black bowl (have you found it yet, if not go back to where you started). You also have to put the bowl on wood where the sun doesn't shine. You might have missed that spot. Go to the east when you are at the grave yard.

It sounds as if you are the beginning of the game. You have to light the tourch which you can do if you get past the living dead. However you must make sure they don't see you. You can find an invisible spell on another location close to where you started the game.

No, the fire spell comes much later in the game. You first need to find the earth crystal, and then the water crystal, and the air crystal, before you need the fire spell to get the fire crystal.
Take the note and click it on Melrin, you will get a hint from that. If you don't understand it then read the next hint.

Oh yes you can pick up one of those stones outside Toadies house. However you can't do it before you have read how to create the spell since you didn't know you needed one before that.

I have all the ingredients mixed in the bowl for the fire spell but I can't for the life of me figure out what it means to place above wood where the sun doesn't shine. Where do I place it?

If its the one im thinking of, then to the left of a screen (think next to grave yard) there is a passage you can go down through the trees thats not very obivous....

I have found the first crystal, and also have traveled through the water. Got the stick and the rope, but couldn't find where to get the knife so i could get some fishes which I could give to the bridge keeper.
