There are a few items in the inventory that do not get used....I never used that second rope that I found right by the water where the ship landed. If you work on that "Wood to Fruit" spell, then the "invisible spell" and then use it to pass the troll, the game will soon be complete.

For the Wood to Fruit spell: put rope and wine into the bowl. Right click on bowl and follow proceedure for creating the spell. For the Invisible spell: First, use lemon on the book. Then click on the book and you will now be able to read the list of ingredients. Stick feather into cabbage head. Put the new head and the lemon peel into the bowl. Follow proceedure for creating a spell.

If you put the rope and the wine into the bowl, then right click on bowl and follow proceedure for creating a spell, a lemon will be added to your inventory. Then you can use the lemon on the book. I made some ommisiions in the the above hints that I gave. You need to make the "Retrieving Jewels" spell before you can do the invisible spell. It will make a crown that you stick on the cabbage head instead of the feather on the cabbage head. Just check the list of ingredients in case I have forgotten anything else!

Sorry, but I forgot that the "fruitspell" will be used on the dry twig that is in your inventory..... this is what generates the lemon

i did the invisable spell without the jewelry spell and now am i in a room with a sign with 8 buttons. i can't put the feather into the cabage. and i don't know how to use the right buttons........are you so clever you can play this all by yourself......your good

i need something to break the gate open after i have turned it into ice. I know it was said there is an item near where the egg was found but i cannot find anything to break the gate open with...help please

I tried that, everytime i look and click on the stump again he just gets another egg, and when he looks at it he still descibes it as a birds nest even though i already made that spell from the egg. Any ideas?

I tried one of my saved games and I was able to get the item that was in the stump. I right clicked on it and it said "it's an old hollow stump". Then i was able to click and got the item.

Hmmm, i don't know. I think it might be a bug, i reported it in the thread in completed game ann. I restarted several times and got the same result, maybe i will download it again.

I've noticed that I haven't been to active on this forum, since I've just noticed this thread about my game. I was before a bit surprised that everyone seemed to finish the game without asking me one single question about it. I thought that I maybe had made it to easy.

Congratulations cittymom for finding the easter egg. Just to save you the time I might just tell you that there is no easter egg in Melrin 1: The disciple ordeal so you can stop looking for one.

About the second rope.... You're not suppose to find that since it shouldn't exist. There is a rope where you step off the boat if (and it should be only if) you haven't picked it up at the docks before leaving. I had to put it there since you wouldn't be able to finish the game if you missed the first rope. The fact that you might have been able to find a second rope is a bug, but since it isn't serious (you just pick up another item that is never used) I've ignored it.

I've also been told about the bug that some of you have experianced about not finding the item that is used to break the ice. But I have not been able to reproduce this behaviour so I don't know how to fix it. The workaround however is to pick up a second egg. Leave and then return at once. The birds nest should now be gone and you may interact with the tree stump.

one should lead you to a room with a locked door - try it, then head back to the landing. The fairy should appear, with something that will help with the door!
