had to go back to an earlier game to see what i had done to get the rock open...... Give beerdrink with grass in it to prisoner thru window.  He tells you he stole a jewel.  Then go inside and talk to him.  Words come up.  Ask him where he hid the topaz.  He will tell you.  Then look in your inventory You will have a hand that says how many time to hit the rock.  Go to tunnel and use that hand.  Then you have to go back to the peddler and give that to him and he will give you the pegleg.
I will look up how I got the flower.  I know Iput something on it to make it fall down. I can't find it but did you try that red written telea spell in your inventory>??  I think that is what makes it come down.  Just put that over the flower.

go to the cemetary.  To G.T. Marleys grave.  There is an entrance there where you will find a skeleton that has a key around its neck.  Also while there, click around to see if there is anything else you could use for later on in the game

talk to the potion lady. ask to buy a potion. mordy will then automatically show his license to the potions lady. and she will give mordy a potion. then, use the potion on yourself to see what it does, then on torch in pasageway.

this is getting embarrassing now!there are people that started the game roughly the same time i did and have finished it on to new things!Ã,  anyways,thankyou cittymom and rosie for the hints.maybe you can help me out with this one.i can't figure out how to get the flower or how to move to stone in the path!i am sure its obvious...for normal people.

to get the flower, you need a spell to move it. the spell you will learn from the mystic, but 1st you need to guess a number and colour. hope that helps.

I've got the map, list, business card, green mushroom, watermelon seeds, recipe, and water (in glass). I've given the prisoner beer, but it didn't seem to do anything. I have looked up the card in the encyclopedia, but am not sure where to look for a "concentrated light source" (I tried to see if light would be magnified through the bottom of the glass, but no such luck.)

Any way I can be pointed in the right direction without being directly told an anser to a puzzle?

you are on the right track with the beer giving it to the prisoner. look at the poster in the potion shop for a clue about that. however, u'll need to get through the passageway before u'll find what u need.

after you give beer go back in jail and talk to prisnor... as for the card try the tomb...

you tell the mystic that you want to guess the colour, and then when the textbox comes up, type in "pink". maybe you're capslock is on. I'm not sure if capital letter matter though, i cant remember.
as far as i know there's no bug here. no one ever had a problem with it.

are you sure youre not asking to guess the number, and then you type in the colour?
like i said, I'm pretty sure there isnt a bug with the colour.
