Hm, I'm stuck already...

I've got through the portal and am in the place where the block of ice and gate are. Nothing seems to work... I've tried knocking on the house door as well.

look at the tiny white thing in the lower left corner. It will help you to get rid of the ice block

I have in my inventory: bustle, marmite, moldy sandwich, frozen sandwich, santas address (trumpett), sumo doll, tea bag, twoo volumes of an encyclopedia, and a cup with hot (not warm) tea

Ctrl + i for inventory

save is f5, load f6

Crtl + Q to quit

The inventory panel is a bit messed up. Sometimes, items are hidden under other items.

To get past the guard

use bustle on village to distract the guard. You can then go into the village and one screen further to the north east, where you will find two other guardians. The rest is straight forward

You must enter Santas house, which is just over the bridge (I used several items and icons until the screen switched).

Now, free Santa. Use the sumo doll on him

to make tea
1.

fill the cup with snow. Go to the screen with the rendeer and find the spot with the soft snow

heat the cup on the oil burning lamp. On the screen with the village, lower right corner. It is a bit of a pixel hunt

try to give tea to the goat. The rendeer complains
