I have and done the following:

Inventories:
Fan, violin, plier scissors, stringed hanger, string with hook, hanky, article and small bell from cat bowl.
Things I've done:
Play the violin in kitchen (cat doesn't drink anymone and there is something moving in bowl but cannot get it.
show the hanky to Lord Blackwin including to maid.
Plug fan in outlet inside common room, use fan and cat hair on it which I get article from.
Give article to Blackwin and spoke to to the Dr about it.
Give bell to blacwin and spoke with all about this
After this I'm stuck.

Show the duster to Lord Blackwin...to get the thing in the chute use one of the wall hooks in the foyer which you have removed by using the pliers from the hall closet...with a piece of string.

open drawer in kitchen, a scissors is in there. Then use scissors with ball of string.

There may be another way, but if you get the bell and show it to Lord Blackwin you can then ask the maid for the duster and she will give it to you if you tell her you need it to prove the cat's innocence.

I think after you show the dirty duster to Lord Blackmin, you can find out the safe combo from the maid--either by talking to her or showing her the duster, I forget which.

I think you need a piece of string and combine it with the hangar. Get scissors from kitchen drawer and cut the ball of string to make a piece. I think I remember this correctly.

There's a safe behind the painting in the bedroom. To open it you need to speak to the maid. The safe has the last bit of evidence you need.

Look in the cat's bowl, and then take bell from the cat's bowl. You have to look first though, or you don't know it's there. ;)

If you are on the ground floor, stairs are on the left and living room is on the right. Middle door is a swimg door. Simply walk through it to enter the kitchen. :)

You need to make a bow by....
1. Get scissors from kitchen drawer.
2. Get coat hanger from the bed.
3. Note ball of string on cabinet next to bed.
4. Cut a piece of string using the scissors.
5. Combine string (from your inventory, not the ball of string) with coat hanger.
You now have a bow. :D

Play violin to cat in the kitchen. The cat will get scared, and move away from the bowl. Now LOOK at cat bow, and take thing from cat bowl.
