I managed to get to the top level of the house, and open the door, but the monster keeps killing me.  There doesn't seem to be anything I can do to stop the monster and I can't escape if I try running out the door.  I think I must be missing an object somewhere.

When I talk to the basement guy, he tells me to buzz off, I tried being poetic and talking to him regularly.  All I have is an axe.

I don´t know how to hide the question....
i got wood 2tiems and put it on the woodshed but nothing happens, it keeps saying that I need more wood. got rid of the guy upstairs and have gun, but now I don´t know what else to do... any ideas please???

Go to screen with the well.  Hit tree on right of well a few times (you get different message from the other trees), and eventually, you will get wood.
