In Carver Island 1, i need to get the salt for the drink. How do i get it?
In 5 days a stranger (Day 2), i have got the metal detector and used it on lead piping and it leads me to a hole in the lawn, but then i do not know what to do next?

maybe you can tell me how to get as far as you did on level 2. I have book from library but can't get map off the shelf. Says he can't think of anything to do with theses books righrt now.
My inventory consists of the blue umbrella, article, newspaper, white chord, stick, blue book, (that's it I think)
I know I need the metal detector but he wont give and I know I need to drain pool but don't know how

You can't drain the pool from the point you're at right now.
Which set of books did you click on in the library? There are seven or eight different sets and I think the one you need is somewhere in the middle of the left bookcase. Be sure to click all different colors because, if you're where I think you are, you need that map before you can progress and it's in one of those books. That strategy should work.

Hamish, sorry if I confused you. I was actually referring to the previous post but I forgot to address it to ladyjenkx. Sorry again. I see that someone else helped you, though. Hope what Crimz said in the other thread clears it up so you can continue.

I've made it all the way to the 5th day now. I just can't find the body I'm supposed to be looking for.

COMPLETE WALKTHROUGH FOR FINDING BODY ON DAY 5:

You used the detector, didn't you? Well, we need a new stick, a new peice of cord or rope etc... and a possesion of the person we're trying to find. Here it is in balck and white: Get the mask, apron and machete from Jim. Use the machete as the stick. The welding mask is the possesion. Use the scissors (from the dresser in the lounge) on the apron to get rope dealie. Use things together. Dip in salt. Wave over shackles in hidden room in kitchen. Find body.
That should do it. Good luck finishing the game.
