Title: out of order
Post by: on Mon 09/08/2004 23:52:25
I am stuck in Out Of Order. I can get as far as the office. When I am at the computer, I can put in my username. But, the password (from the walkthrough) doesn't work. Does the password change every game? If so where can I find some hints to figure it out?

thanks,
fangs

Wrong forum.Ã,  Out of Order is a SLUDGE game.

But, since I'm in a happy mood,Ã,  I'll help you out anyway:

Spoiler

If my memory serves me correct, the password is something like "U472BMT", or soemthing like that.Ã,  It dosen't matter.Ã,  The point is, it's a string of letters and numbers.Ã,
If you can recall the newspaper that Urban Leapold gave to you, on the bottom of the paper, there is a short article, arranged in that fashion, with the letters and numbers.

In the office, behind the postcard on the board, there is a sentance.Ã,  I think it was "You force heaven to be empty."Ã,  that corresponds to "U472BMT".

And the password dosen't randomize, the username does.

I hope that was an OK answer, and that I understood you corectly.

By the way, that very puzzle is my favorite puzzle (http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=15530.0) in an adventure game that I've played so far.

Aah, O.O.O is such a great game.Ã,  I wish I was playing it again...

ByeÃ,  :)

what is the real username and password on the computer?

The password is given in the post by releasethefrogs, above.  As for the username:

Spoiler
To find out the username, keep talking to Deirdre (in the fast food place).  Yes, even after it seems he's going to go into a long story; just keep talking to him as long as you can.  Eventually he'll mention a two-letter code used by one of his bosses.  That's the username.
