cannot save\load or exit in night of the hermit

ok i know it sounds dumb but i cannot find any of these options inside the game. the manueal doesnt address this at all and i wasnt able to find any threads here that address this problem. i have played many adventure games and most either have a drop down menu or an icon to get these options. i am using win7 which might be the problem though the game seems to work fine. i do have dosbox but since the game seems to be fine so far i havent bothered.

In my case F1 brings up a menu for Save/Load/Quit. Nothing to do with Win7.

thanks that did it never woulda thought of the f keys (stupid me) tried all the others wish it was mentioned in the manual oh well.
