I've broken the window, have got loo paper and stick but can't find anywhere to use them

I've also tried planting some seeds - put some in the sewage but nothing happened :-\

Use the window, then look just to the right of the window to see a little indentation-type-thing. Use the stick on that. And when you used the seed on the sewage, a tick thing should have flashed briefly. You won't see any effect until you've planted 2 other seeds and finished the game, though.

what now? i think i'm supposed to do something with the obstruction or the pointy rock, but nothing seems to work.

Go to the tree. Talk to the hippies, then give them the lens. Take the shovel. Go back to the bar, give the guys the shovel.
