I'm stuck as Elizabeth on the deck of the ghost ship for the second (or third? time).

What do I do to get the prison key for "Ghost pirate 4?" I gave the monkey a banana, but that didn't seem to help. I went back to the other ship and I got another rope and bra, but I couldn't do anything with it either.

Maggie, this one is not obvious at all. In a stroke of luck I managed not to get stuck for than 30 seconds on this one, but it was one of those moments when you feel that it could have taken a visit to the forums otherwise.

It seems Jack wants to do something else with it, and who knows one or two things about swords?

I found this one pretty illogical, too. Especially since the character ends up contradicting himself.

Just talk to Barbarossa... which contradicts the character's reply when you try to talk to Elizabeth.

I'm now hopping between two ships - managed to give to undead monkey a banana but nothing else. The crew is behind a locked door on the Black Pearl but the key I got from ghost pirate 4 doesn't open the door to the crew.
What am I doing wrong?

Eva, please enclose your questions between [ hide ] and [ /hide ] (without the spaces) so you don't spoil it for the people who haven't gotten that far, yet.

It seems that you are not doing anything wrong (see that I asked a similar question above and you'll find the answer I got). However, you don't really need to hop around if you get the yellow item that you mentioned from the first ship before going to the second. Maybe that will help? I also didn't give away said item until after having tried to open the door first.

I don't know, you'll have to explore a bit more. But basically, what you did is all that there is to do at that point. Maybe Marion can add something?

I hope you kept frequent savegames, it will save you a lot of time. After 15 years of playing adventure games with one or, at most, two savegames, I finally learned that the hard way a few months ago, while playing a couple really buggy AGS games

I actually had three saved positions so it didn't take too long to go through the motions again (especially after having done them once before).

But it was possible to get stuck - when I tried your order of things I managed to get through the rest of the game. Phew!

Not such a bad game after all, apart from being able to get the

you can't open the door for the crew. If you didn't give the banana to the monkey, you should normally not be able to open the door. Just try again, give the banana to monkey then use the key from the ghost pirate on the door.

Look around more closely. Look again. Hey, one of the items has firewood *and* metal. I'm sure you can't burn metal, so why don't you get rid of it?
