I'm in the cave and i've tried walking up, down, right, left on the stairs....most of the time i ended up back to the begining, and i can't get out of the cave either, pls help!

the note says up down left right, and i've tried every combinations with the stairs but still can't get anywhere!  ???

Do exactly as the note says, you will find that you will be going back on yourself......................I had to do it several times before it worked

Can anyone clue me in about what to do with the PETROL-SOAKED string?  I have the fire extinguisher, matches, etc. I think I have yo set Mort on fire, but am stuck!
