Ok, this is a tech question about Larry Vales. I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it sounded like the tech forums were only for AGS themselves, not the games, so I didn't know where to post it.

Basically I played this game years ago, loved it, wanted to try again. It runs fine, but there is no music. Now I realize this is probably a common problem and before someone tells me to use the search feature, I searched all over, checked the knowledge base, read FAQs, etc. The knowledge base had a fix for AGS, but I'm not using AGS. Are you supposed to run the games through AGS? Can I use the MIDI fix on the game itself? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gilbert

It's more fit in the tech forums, as LV IS an AGS game.

However, the no music problem is most likely caused by running the game under windows, LV1 was made in the time where a windows version was not available, you may try out DOS emulators like DOSBOX or VDMSOUND and see if they can run it perfectly.
