Sammy's Quest -- water bucket

I have been stuck for two days.  I can't get the water bucket off the old rope.  What have I not thought about?  Help...

I am also confused about how to get the sword off the wall.

I have scarf, washboard, flute, newspaper, broom, hammer, nail, Mayo, Ham, bag, lettuce, bread, coal, feather, rat poison, broken sword, gold, rock, detergent, lamp, card, toothpick, branch, gun, and 5 cent coin.

solve both of your problems....
Check out the kitchen again and see what you find.
