So...? As long as the player isn't going to debug the game, I see no reason they should care... MRC has debug mode, but it's not on when you start the game. It might be usefull to leave on or include debug mode to games, in case they might have bugs...

But yes, people can cheat or read the technical stuff about characters etc. This is probably mostly because game authors either don't realise this or just forget to turn it off...
