Other 3 spells in Quest for Glory 4 1/2

I played through QFG 4.5 as the Magician, and never found any spells other than the three I purchased at the magic shop and the two I started the game with.  That's five spells, yet the "Magic" box has room for eight.  Does anyone know where to find the other three, if they even exist that is?

IIRC they don't. The game is not very heavy on spells.
