Hello everyone, I am stuck on a ledge (outside of the cave) and I do not know how to get past the force field. Could someone please tell me what to do. I have tried so many different things I do not know what to do anymore. I have been looking all over for a complete walkthrough but could not find anything. The walkthrough in this forum is incomplete. Thank you for any help provided.

try to get the red rock from below the ledge. First, you have to cut the small tree above it

the rocks above the cave exit would do the job, but you can't reach them. You can't use the stick

use the stick to remove the fallen rock, then get the paper with the iron dust and use the dust on the magnetic field, so you know where you can step to get to the switch
you can cross the field, but how do you get to the other side?

flip the switch and step on one of the red spots of the magnetic field

I'm in the cave and how do I get to the second part of it. It says something about needing a light. Where do I get this light? Its really frustrating that no one has done a walkthrough for the rest of this 1st part yet.

This will take a few steps. I don't know how far you got in this puzzle so I'll just post the first few steps and if you're still stuck, please post back:

did you notice the bowl near the entrance? Did you notice the heart rock at the bottom left of the screen near the entrance?

go back out of the cave and put the vine segment into the waterfall. THEN put it in the bowl and it will then redirect the light to the crystal which will illuminate your path...

Ok. Shadow. This game is really getting on my nerves. Please, just send me a walkthrough. A step by step way to complete this. I'm getting so pissed off, I might even write the creator and tell him off, that his game is too difficult and for him to make a walkthrough.
I'm stuck again. I'm at the part, where I've cut the stupid tree and now what?! I HATE GAMES LIKE THIS!!!!!! Sierra at least made hintbooks you could purchase to get you through the tough parts. No one does walkthroughs anymore. WHY?!

I'm sorry, Itcolonel97062, that the difficulty level of DOTE made you curse. I assure you that I had my game beta-tested before I released anything. To speak frankly: I meant to challenge the players! I certainly could have provided a walkthrough. But let's be honest: The real gaming-satisfaction comes from solving a tough puzzle without a hint-book. I tried to place the hints within the game. I can imagine though, what made the cave difficult for you and consider implementing a slight hint within the game before I release part 2.
Yes, I am not going to abandon the game. PArt 2 is progressing. I will complete it in the near future.
All puzzles have been done though. And I can tell you (yes, this is a heads up, folks) it's not getting any less difficult! (And least that's what I hope, my beta-testers may prove me wrong).

The beta testers managed to solve the puzzles without help. The puzzles are hard but if you take the time to read the hints you will solve them.

Great puzzle with the balloon. Very difficult to catch it. Please continue the walkthrough.
Where do I get the walnut? Does the walnut even exist or is it imaginary and in your head? The game won't allow you to get the clock. Why are you giving bs hints? The clock cannot be removed. Come on. REAL hints, please.
A message to Leisure Suit Harry. If you're gonna make a game, then make a walkthrough for it. Like Sierra did, back in the day. How difficult is it to make a walkthrough of YOUR game?! YOU made the game, so YOU have all the answers. YOU should have all the answers, anyway.
There is NO walnut!!!! YOU cannot TAKE the stupid clock, either!!!!!
Got the copper coin. But guess what?! Still no stupid walnut! SO the game is dead ended. Cannot continue without a walkthrough.
I don't see or could find the bow/arrow, either. So I guess I am missing a few things. Maybe these things are not real and are imaginary. I have looked everywhere and cannot find the walnut, or the bow/arrow.

This game is getting very irritating! Still no bow/arrow. Now I'm stuck after reading the letter from Julia's brothers. Have the Coke can and the letter and stuck on the cliff. Thanks again for the help, Phemar.

Have you collected the heart balloon filled with cow farts? (You learn the cow farts are super lightweight.)

Have you collected the liquid gold from the birch tree? (You need a jug to collect it in, there's a 1 liter jug in the house.)

You need to weigh down the rock on the cliff so it doesn't float away when you attach the balloon. Pour the gold into the coke can and place the remaining gold on the rock. Now attach the balloon.
For the crossbow:

You need to collect all the feathers. There are three, I can't remember exactly where they all are right now. Pick up the cross in the scarecrow's hand and attach the circular ring you got from the kettle in the fireplace.

You can't put the rest of the gold on the rock. The game won't allow it. You also cannot put the balloon on the rock either, as the game, won't allow that. Any other ideas?
How about a walkthrough? Thats alot better than hints, which some of the hints you've given me don't work. I did manage to find the feathers and use them on the stick to made what the game calls a missle. Is that the bow/arrow, or am I still missing something?

I didn't pour the gold on the rock but put the jug on the rock. Do you have the crossbow ready and is there an alien standing at the ledge? Have you already examined the sign at the ledge?
Yes I have the bow/arrow ready. I too put the jug of gold on the rock. What alien? I haven't seen an alien. I did look at the sign on the ledge. Have I missed something?
Perhaps the main character is still frustrated and has no goal?

I advise against using it! If you play around you will get hints and funny responses at the very least. But since some puzzles are indeed difficult, before you get really frustrated check out the walkthrough.
