Game have few different solutions for some problems, so you don't have to do all the thing to complete the game, and what is with that metal box every body wants to open it hehe

Aaaaaaargh!  I'm really stuck!  I'm in the room on the planet with the grenades and crates in, and the sheilded entrance to a cave.  There's that circley transporter thingy too.  I've used the transporter and got a small metal piece, but now i don't know what to do.  I can't open the crates, and now i'm just wandering between the three screens that appear to be available to me..... HELP!!

I have completed the game (hurrah!)Ã,  without opening that door.Ã,  Have you

put the metal rod in your inventory on the operating table?Ã,  Use the mechanical arm to get a crowbar.Ã,  After I did this, I went back to where the steam lever is and the monster appeared. Hope that helps!

Does anyone have a image of what the block puzzle in the ruins is supposed to look like? Because I try and try and can't seem to figure out to make it work.

You are talking of the puzzle in the cavern below the ruins?
Examine the wall. Maybe you now know what you are supposed to do

Talk to yor comrades. They tell you what this machine is for.

The pipe on the top left must be connected to the two pipes on the lower end. Use the colored buttons to move the rocks. Use the first button to select a rock. It is barely visible, but if you have a good look, you can see that one of the rocks gets a darker shade than the others. You can move this rock by pushing the other four buttons.

perhapse i daft but with shooting out the light on lever 9 the power generator i think logically the shield would hold up the light  fixture rather than let it pass through i had the hardest time i though no way shooting the light would get to the projector thought id have to find another secret passage to get behind the shield, oh well another idiots rantings and raving

Well the thing is, as much as I know from the Sci-fi movies is that if something is in the middle of the force field it can be moved, but if you are in front or in back of the shield you cannot penetrate it., well as far as I know...
