I have the box of matches, a pillowcase, the snake and the chili. The painter wont tell me whatever I want to know, I only sabotaged the tall competitor (with the lead insoles), I cant find any crowlies to send the caveman away (the snake doesnt work) and I fed the laxatives to the bird but nothing happened, it is still there...

The larvae does not work on the caveman, and the feather does not work with the ridiculus drop. i have tried everything but nothing happens. Is is a bug or am I missing something important?

 VeryWeirdGuy, you must also be a VeryNiceGuy and a VeryPatientGuy since you are trying to get me unstuck, but I STILL AM... (stuck, that is... not to mention stupid:P)

I have already won the race and used the money to get alcohol and bribe the drunk so as to get into the klan's hideout. I just thought I could also use the larvae as a 'crowlie' to scare the guard away... I am trying to find a way to get into the cave for over an hour!!!
I read the previous hints, I understand that I have to tie the spring to a tree somehow and then climp down and tickle the guard, but the only tree is at the ledge and does not interact with the spring...

(I already feel like the guy in the game who annoyed the painter so much that he got him mad!)

the top portion of the screen goes black. i can still see my inventory and commands and change from walk to use to whatever but i can't do anything. is this a bug? was there something else i should have done first? still haven't managed to scare the guard, thought i'd have to get something from the second race to do it. help please

Xristianna,  I was having problems similar to yours but I finally got something to happen.

Go to the kid's corner and use the chili with the red paint. Then use the red paint with the toy snake and the filled toy snake with the giant bird.

And yes, the bird was at the top of the middle mountain path. Do what taintdpearl said. NOW!!

I'm having the same trouble as porchbeast - when I interfere with the two racers' sacks (racing sacks that is!), the screen goes black when I proceed to race.

I'm having problems with 2 puzzles;
1st puzzle = 2nd race

after I've put the larva into the red sack and tell the guy I'm ready he talks about the next race and then the screen goes black and I can't do a thing - thank god I SAVED! - Is the next race a hopping one and do I need a spring for it and if so where do I get a spring from?

OK I've got the paper and followed it but as I end up going back on myself with the right left combination I end up at the beginning. So do I keep following the instructions repeating them over and over until I get to Mort's or what and does going up/ down the slope mean the same as going up/ down the ladder?

you have to sabotage the other contestants -  use bug on red leather jumping sack and try doing something to shoes next to blue sack.........................did you get something from the shoe shop? Maybe making him heavy footed might help your chances
