talked to Sydelle and offered to take her Report to the Office for her and left her room but now I'm stuck. I can't figure out how to leave the building. I have knocked on the other doors with no response and it won't let me go upstairs so what do I do now? Please help.

have you checked Jasons' thoughts? Is there something new he could be thinking about? Could he maybe combine two thoughts to think of something new? Could he ask Sydelle about what he's thinking?
