I've found the sword, but still can't enter the disco (nor the ninja den).
Any help here would be hot.
Since you have the sword, Dave the hobo should be hanging out in his dumpster. Talk to him.

Once you ask him enough questions, Shelly the Voodoo pirate will appear down the street. Go talk to her about the pile of dirt. Then go back and use your pimp cane on the dirt.
That should help you get your pimpin' adventure back on track. :)
