Title: The Oracle
Post by: jane on Mon 26/06/2006 12:07:40
Was sailing through it quite nicely but can't find the 2 way radio anywhere - have resorted to hints option in game and it says it in the elevator - but I can't find it anywhere?

How I can download the game?

Click on the link in "recently added games" and search for the entry box down in the browser window. You will see picture left of the entry box, and "redraw" to the right. Enter the number in the edit box and continue... Should be obvious from then on.

Spoiler

I have two pillar stones. For the third, I need to fill a bucket with water, but I can't place it and the water on the "drill" does not run long enough.

Tried all combinations on the posts, but I did not manipulate the glass sculpture every time. On the posts, the setting is quite obvious. But you have to fiddle with the rings until something happens... I wonder if I had to fill the bucket with blue water

When I go into one and then come out again, I don't have the choice of going into the other ones.  The lite goes out.  What am I doing wrong... I am stuck in the room. It says to put the box on pedestal..... Which I did already to get into one of the portals......So I dont know what to do.  I get stuck there.  No map to get out either

Could you describe where he is in more detail as I can't seem to access any beach area.Ã,  All I can do is take the elevator car down but can't make any left turns when I get there.

It is not that beach.on the elevator car....that had me fooled also.
It is at the wind Generator place.... You put your arrow on the sand a little to the right of it and you will see a footprint.  then put arrow more forward and there is another footprint. Follow down the path to the BEACH and when you get there, turn left and then look right  into the ocean you will see a PERSON
that is the fisherman...... It took me a long time to see him.
As you can see I am stuck again, even with the hints.

The tin box goes back in the wooden box in the inventory. So you can take it back out the wooden box and place it back on the pedestal

?? Yes the tin box are not on the pedestal when you get back in the union chamber but the tin box are IN your wooden box . open the wooden box in your inventory. put the tin box back on the pedestal and open it. the portals are back . you can not go back with the ladder. you don't have to go back.

Eugene, your game is outstanding -- beautiful and fun to play.  I am having the same problem that Jane had, but my manual dexterity, combined with my use of a touchpad rather than a mouse, is making it impossible for me to do this quick maneuver to complete the task with the bucket.  I believe this task isn't really very realistic, either, since ordinarily one would have the bucket handy sitting on the decking rather than stuffed in a rucksack each time one goes to get the water flowing.  Do you have any ideas for how I could finish the game despite my physical inability to complete this task?
My only suggestion to make this game more fun for those of us who aren't physically quick is to find a way to make this less of a task of quick movement and more of a problem-solving task.
Thanks for all the work you put into this game, and for sharing it with all of us.

In regard to the "drill" puzzle, I really insist that people try to solve it as has been posted before...quick clicking...

BUT if you absolutely can't do it this way (ie. if you use a touchpad) then read the following spoiler to bypass the puzzle:

Spoiler

Because game is storyline driven, you can't pick up the dog toy until you try to open the postoffice door and the dog growls at you.  At that point, your character suggests looking for a distraction for the dog and you'll be able to pick up the toy.

Have fun!

First- Great game! Just my gennerÃ,  ;D

One question:
Spoiler
I made my way though the game, got the blue and black stones from the garden and monestary, but failed to find a third one (in the chapels?)....
[close]
What am I missingÃ,  ???

BTW:
Spoiler

1. I got the snuffer I took from one of the chapel, but can't seem to find how to use it, other than ringing the bells in the right chapel.Ã,  ?
2. Is there anything I should do (so far, couldn't find anything) with the working panflutes (the ones making sounds)?
[close]

Thanks, and thanks again for a great puzzle.

Erez

Spoiler
So you actually have the two stones from the Garden and Castle.  In the monestary, what you want to do it play two notes on the panflute that match the same two notes when the bells are rung.  It can be a little tough.  If you can't figure it out, use the in-game hints...it tells you which notes to play on the panflute.
[close]

Enjoy!

No laughing now...I poured the blue water, saw the signs, but can't seem to find any identical ones on the posts or glass discs.  Could somebody point me in the right direction.  The hints haven;t helped me.  Thanks.

Jacqui Hey I just did it.

Spoiler
You need to reset the wodden posts. The left one to the top notch, the right one to the middle notch. Then go back to the glass machine and fiddle with it.

That Ness!  :)  I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it.

Jacquie, if the garden is still giving you problems let me know and I'll walk you through it.  It's certainly one of the trickier parts of the game.

Hi FelinaDark,

Just highlight the box below for a hint:

It just involves a bit of pixel hunting.  There's a area around the bottom-right quarter of the cave where you need to use the key you've created.
