I have four pieces of lightening,drained the water and placed the green gem but I cannot find the last piece of lightening nor do I know what I have to do to get it.

and yes i put the milk and the potion in the chimney. the colour is stil white. I didnt put anything else in the chimney. I loaded a saved game and tried it again but the witch still doesnt
give me cheese

It sounds like a wierd bug.. Many people played the game and no one had a problem like this. I searched for the bug and I can't find it.
Maybe you can give me more info...
1) load the game and tell me what color the pot liquid is.
2) DId you put them in together or did you leave the room and do other things before you put the other one.
3) What items do you have?
4) Try to put in the cheese potion with out the milk and then go to the witches house and tell me what color the liquid is. After that leave the room and come back in, see if anything changes, after that put the milk in, and go back to the house to see if there are any changes.
5) Is the game you loaded from before you gave the pot to the witch or from after?

Major problem: I can't catch that frinxing fly above the Witch's house, it's just way too fast! The only time I've managed to intercept it, the character says it's too far away or too fast or something (was clicking fast and furious, so clicked away the speech before I realised he was talking).

Silly sais that it's to far away (not to fast).

Stand on the roof.
Wait for the fly to be at least 2 inches close to you (any direction).
While your waiting, make sure that your mouse cursor is in the correct place and mode, and then click on the fly (when he stops).

Oh, and you can allso make your walking speed faster (in the option).
