OMG, I can't figure out the Maze of Fertility. Which is the top of the room anyway. I see the doorway at upper right but I can't seem to get through it. I know the statues have to match the colors on the pedestals once they open, but I can't seem top get anywhere. Some one please help!!!

The pedestals have a shape when you look at them. They have a slight different color as well but that's less visible. In order to use the pedestals ands open new ones, you need three statues with a base in the same shape as the pedestal. Use the correct statue on the correct pedestal and watch what happens.

Thats, my point, how do I know which one is the correct one. I have opened a few of them with the statues, and I manage to get a stairwell to go down to the next level, but I don't know which order to put them in. In other words, when I see that the pedesteal calls for the blue statue, but there are two of them available, which one do I choose?

It's mainly try and error. Just see which pedestal has effect on the next one.
Each pedestal has effect on the adjacent ones  and only on the floor of the colour they represent.

The solution:

Number all pedestals from left to right, top to bottom. The top floor has 16 pedestals, the floor below 9 and the bottom floor 4. The statues are round (R), square (S) or triangular (T).

Floor 1: 1S, 2S, 3T, 4S, 7S, 8(down)
Floor 2: 1T, 3S, 1T, 2(up)
Floor 1: 12R, 8(down)
Floor 2: 8 (down)
Floor 3: 2T, 3(up)
Floor 2: 9T, 7S, 9T, 2(up)
Floor 1: 16S, 15R, 8(down)

The numbers that you list such as 1S 2S, I know the S stands for the square statue, (the blue one) but how do you know which pedestal is the first, second on third one? The starting point is obvious, and I think you move from lieft to right, top to bottom, but if this is true, the numbers you list as the solution don't work. What am I missing?

Oh yeah, I've played this game alright. Many times. The first time it took me about 6 hours. 8E means pedestal on position 8, exit (stairs but S=square). You don't need to use all pedestals, just these:

Leon, Gosh I feel like a moran because I have not been able to solve this even with all your tips. Because the first floor is shaped like a diamond, are you considering the first pedistal as the one on the row fartest from the doorway or is the one pedistal right below the doorway number 1? I already know to move left to right top to bottom, but if I start on the first square fartest from the doorway, the third pedistal is a square, not a triangle like your WT says.

Two answers back I gave the layout in numbers:

          1S
        2S 3T

The letters resemble the type of statue (S=square, T=triangle, R=round, E=stairs). The same as you see it on screen. The top 1 is square, the 2nd (next row left) is square, the 3rd (right of the 2nd) is triangle etc. The entrance of the room is near the 1st (=top).

When you only use the statues from the list:

you should be able to make it to the second floor. This means

Use the square statue on the top most pedestal. The pedestals around it will be revealed. Use the square statue on the left on the next row (#2). More pedestals will be revealed. Use the triangular statue on the pedestal to the right of it and more pedestals are revealed. Use the square statue on the leftmost pedestal of the third row and use the square statue on the leftmost pedestal of the fourth (middle) row. The steps should now be visible. Use them to go to the next floor.
