1213 Episode 1 help

I've been playing the game 1213 Episode 1 and have got the homemade bomb from cell 1108, but now I'm stuck. How do I get past the big pile of used furniture that blocks the corridor leading  to block 1-9? I have no idea how I can get past this pile, and I haven't found any walktrough either though I've searched on Altavista and Google. I appriciate it if someone can help me, as it's very annoying to not get any further. ..
