Where do we find the ink?
So far I got octopus but when leaving to mermaid, the game always have me put octopus back to water.

To get the ink:

You need to get the octopus (which you already did) and once ashore, use the octopus with the little container to squeeze some ink out.

I've given La Teigne the rum, but he caught me before I was able to get hold of a sword. Jamal suggests that I look through the spyglass, but I can't find one anywhere.

What do I do now?

I am also stuck.

I cannot get the cannonball to wake the crew because the guy in the armory won't leave the room. I already gave him the rum and tried to pick up the sword. I went to the infirmary with the key from the cook, but all I got was the spy glass.
I still have no clue as how to get rid of the guy near the cannonball and where do I use the spy glass? I've tried everywhere and she keeps saying I have to go higher. Can someone please help me because I can't figure out what to do.

I am now on the island. I figured out how to get the ink, but what do I use to light the torch? I have net, knife, stick, small container. I already gave pearl to mermaid and have ink. Also what do I use with bird to get whats under it?

use your knife on your bed inside the tree, and put the piece of tissue on the stick, then use the torch on the fire. Then you can go inside the cave, at the left of the bird screen.

um, for some reason i cant manage to solve the first puzzle, ive put the contents in the cauldron and they are boiling, yet whenever i click the cauldron with the empty pot, nothing happens

Did you light the fire under the cauldron?

Help I'm missing something obvious- I can't find the milk?

It's inside the house in the right side of the cabinet.

I'm stuck at the footprints. The don't lead anywhere "walkable" or "clickable". It looks like I should be able to follow them, but I can't. is there a bug or am I missing something.

Follow the footsteps to the right. When you then try to follow them to the north, you realize that he went the wrong way. Walk to the right and when you’re in front of the skull cave you see that Vincente hasn’t been there yet. Pick up the BOULDER on the right of the entrance and use it on the cave to block the entrance.
