Thanks for replying. Don't remember if I got a "physical" list. Tried to access game while online, but couldnt'. ("sigh" - have dial up only). Will try that. Thank you. I may have to bother you or someone again.

I'm back! Near end of game, have put mud on horsehoe, changed sword into a magic sword, put file in pie, and still can't get to "HAL." Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you enter the road to HAL (where the Bogey Man awaits you), or where exactly are you stuck?

Am at the horshoe. Only where I can go is back to the map. When I get on the map, can't pick "HAL" option. thanks.

When on the bridge, can you leave the screen to the right, past the horseshoe? You should be able to.

It *might* be that you have discovered a bug- or better, a dead end, so if you could describe in detail what you did, what inventory you have, that would be useful.

Ghost: When I go right (the only way I can) I end up on the map with no option to go to "HAL." I tried to get into the game to see my inventory while on line, but can't. If I remember correctly, have snotty rag, candle, pie with file, magic sword and, I believe, an empty bucket.

You might want to wait....

@Novella:
Walk the path leading north from the rotten stone. You'll see Steadfast at the bridge. Walk past him to the right. On the map select H.A.L. (the big screen at the top of the mountain). You'll meet the Boogieman.

Use the magic sword on him to get inside H.A.L.
