I've spoken to the mother and son. I've also opened the closet and taken what's in it. I have the following inventory items: brochure, recipe book, salt, sugar, pepper, can-opener, peaches, milk, rubber band, jam, cheese, preserves, detergent, ice-cream, milkshake, silver key, nail-file, gold key, coat hanger.

No, I haven't opened them - that is the problem I am having. I have no idea how I am supposed to find the combination(s).

Yes, the father - I've shown both him and his wife the letters, and I've also done the thing where he opens the door while I'm not in the room. He is now back in the living room, and the wife has stopped cleaning.

I have the tickets and have shown them to the husband and the wife. In the middle house, the woman has had her juicer delivered, but I don't seem to be able to do anything with that. In the first house, I have been able to put some of the food back where I found it, but don't seem to be able to do this with anything else. Is this what you mean by "changing things in the present"?

I got rid of the woman by reading her the letters - I had done this once before, before the blender was there, but had forgotten what the outcome was.
