OK, got the chip. I read some of the spoilers and thankfully, that let me get the hatch open.

talked to the bug, trapped robot, and chorander, need a hint on cleaning the engravings on the stone disc in the grotto. any hints without blatantly telling me? Thanks!

if you've talked to the trapped robot and the chorander then you should have picked up everything you can from near them, which will give you the tools to make a sizzling mixture that is good for cleaning
