Project Xenophobe: Need help getting past "Iceman"

Hi,
I'm currently playing Project Xenophobe. I'm on the ice planet and have been trying to find some way past the "Iceman" (the paranoid loony on the 3rd ice planet screen).
What do I have to do to get past the Iceman? Anything I try just provokes the usual "That doesn't work". Trying to talk to him results in the game doing.. absolutely nothing. Not even an "I don't think it's worth talking to him at the moment".

I tried doing a search for this game, but there doesn't seem to be any.  All you probably can do is use the search button on top of this page and find project xenophobe on it.

I've tried - no walkthroughs, just a few people asking for help on parts that I assume happen later in the game...
As far as Google searches go, all I found were a lot of download and info links (like http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/games.php?action=detail&id=472).

It's a PITA, because I know I probably need to find an item on the ice planet (you lose everything except the Datapad when you go through the transporter), but I can't figure out what item might help or where to get it.
I wish AGS had some form of "Show all hotspots/objects" function...

You need a distraction. What better distraction than the lights going out? Use the lightswitch on the wall...

help i got syringe and test tube, knife, data port, lens and key. how do i get past robot and where is the microscope?

what do i use on the wires and fuse box on the ice island?

ii have open the fusebox now what do i do? I fix the wires. i have a coin gernade, gun, paper, cofee in the cup and diary know what do i do?

You must pick up a injection (close to the test tubes) first.

A hot coffe ! But you must first check the big blue monitor in the hallway and the pinboard few rooms back

Use a hot coffe on board, but befor that:you must first check the big blue monitor in the hallway and the pinboard few rooms back

Ive read all the old posts for project xenophobe and I know I need to find nails and masking tape to join wires but can't find them anywhere.Not even on the floor of the storage room where someone said they were. Can anyone remember where they are or have I missed something?

The nails are in the planks. You will find them in the storage room. You need a tool. After you get shot and wake up again, go back to the teleporter and search the dead body.

          Thanks for the reply BUT I tnink I must have downloaded a buggy version of this game cos I have pixel hunted everywhere in the storage room and there are no nails, only a glowing tentacle, a fuse box which I have short circuited and an aquarium. I have even replayed the game from the start to see if I missed anything. I was enjoying it but it looks like I'll have to give up unless anyone knows what the problem is.

Maggie, there are two storage rooms! One is to the left of the coffee machine.

     Thank you!  I just assumed that door was locked. I never thought about using the key....silly me Have now finished the game.
