Enchanted By the Digital Spell

This is one of the coolest game Ideas I have ever seen.  I have completed the game, and yet I have one loose end...

The spell I learned from the lamp in the archway does not appear to do anything, even whe going through the game a second time.  Is is an unfinished puzzle, or is there more to this game than I am aware of.  You need not tell me what it does, simply tell me that it does anything at all, and I will look for it, I am happier that way.

just a thought but i think it's only there as a clue on how to find more spells as it's the only one that shows up longer and brighter[\hide]
