Anyone know the answer to this ?

Whats the code to the safe ? I know you have to take the numbers from the animals information, but all i could find were '284' but theres 4 numbers on the safe panel. Ive tried all combinations with the above, but it hasn't worked ?

The game has crashed twice on me but before it crashed the second time I did find another number 4. So maybe the four numbers are 8244, not sure if thats the right order but thats the order I found them in.

I believe the code is different each time.  You need to take those 4 numbers you found (1 by each animal) and use them in the order you are taken to each area when following the notes.  At least, that's what worked for me

Game keeps crashing on me so  I am trying running it in a window but its so small I am having a hard time seeing stuff. How do you get rid of the dog? I have rescued the rat. I tried

Okay I talked to koala a few times so now I know what to do, I have to figure out how to get out of gate. I haven't rescued fish yet, haven't figured that one out but I did try putting the wheel that I got from rat's tank into fish tank and it said maybe later so must be something else to do before that

Is this one of those games that you have to do things in a certain order? if it is I am giving up. I have tried every combination of those numbers to open the safe and nothing works.

I think what takara said about the numbers was right.  i had to start over though to get it to work.  i don't know if it's doing things in a certain order or not.  Maybe if you do it wrong once, it won't let you in.  I don't know.

About that code:

It's calculated when you begin playing, and is not related to in what order you do stuff. You can try as many times as you like, look at the notes over and over. You get the code by looking at the signs, and the order in the notes (beginning at the door). Remeber that the panel has some sort of "main menu" (1: gate/2:safe) and whatever you press here is not related to the actual code. I've looked at the script again and done a dozen more tests and I can't find anything wrong.

I have saved everyone but the fish. I have tried everything in my inventory but nothing works. Can you help me?

First of all I couldn't get the game to run in 320 x 320 so I tried 640 x 480. Now I am running it in a window and so far I haven't had any problems with crashing but here is the error message I got before. Its probably because I was running it in 640 x 480 maybe?
An exception 0xC0000065 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = 0x004CA3E4; program pointer is +5,AC1 version 2.62.77, gtags (90,640)

Now the code for opening the safe - I looked at the signs in this order, Kangaroo, Rat, Fish, Koala which gives me the number 8244 but I can't get that to work. I am pressing 2 for safe. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Joyce - try turning the panel off, then on again (upper right), then retry the code. It should work.

It's not the order you look at the notes, it's the order between them (eg. the first (the one at the door) says "i put [the key] by the kangaroo" meaning kangaroo is first ( 8 ), then the note by the kangaroo will give the 2nd and so on...

It should be run in 320x240

Great game Neil, I just finished and really enjoyed it!

For some reason I couldn't run it in 320x 240, ended up running it in a window which was kinda small but I managed. I had read your suggestion to someone else about turning the panel off and on again so I tried that and it worked using a different code, I guess I hadn't figured out the order of my code correctly, so I just kept trying different ones after turning panel off and on again and I finally got it to work.

Im stuck, i have;

Ball 2 keys, skatboard, wheel, etc etc etc. I have been in the room by the rat (thats key was in the safe,) ive also opened the door and walked to the harbour. I cant work out how to distract the dog so i can get the Koala though......do i have to get something from the canteen, and if so how ?
