Need help in moms quest, and may have found a bug.

hello,I am playing a game called moms quest. it so far has been fun though the graphics are enough  to make you want to tear your eyeballs out.  spoiler ahead. I have come to the point were I can free the king.I take him out of his jar, and his "song" makes the charactors legs go weak, i try sticking banana peels in her ears but the game won't let me leave them in. why i think this is a bug is that in the next room over I can keep them in, but when I try to go the next room with the peels in her ears, she just takes them out. but I seem to need to do this. am I solving the puzzle wrong? or is there a bug?

but if its not, then go to the search button at top of page, put in Mom's quest and uncheck everything except Hints and Tips and Completed Games and then hit search, there is a few threads for this game.

It's not a bug.  You are, indeed, solving the puzzle wrong.

There's an item you need that you may not have yet--though it's not an item that it's at all obvious you can take in the first place (and, personally, I think it's a bit of unfair pixel-hunting, but that's just my opinion...):

In the very first room, you can take one of the pieces of tape from around the poster.  Most of them are stuck too tightly, but you can take the bottom one.

Now, if you do already have this item...well, then now that you know it's needed for that puzzle you shouldn't have much trouble figuring out what to do with it.

that IS unfair, this game has been fun. but the fact that they stay in in one room and not in another is rather nasty of the author.
