Zugzwang.........Help (stuck at the black rook)

Can anyone help me with the zugzwang chess computer adventure game. I'm stuck.?
I cannot do anything more with the white pawn, so I switched to the black one and I cannot do ANYTHING with him. The black rook calls him a pipsqueak and chases him off, and the only thing I can do in the cave is kick the critter and look at stuff. please help someone. How do I get to talk to the black rook? Is there ANYTHING to do in the cave. I've hit a dead end. Thanks.
