beta testers...

hey everyone!,

here's the deal, im looking for beta testers for a game thats no where near finished yet. You probally think im mad, but i can explain. You see, to reward all the beta testers of my game they will have a appearance in the atachual game, wether its on a wanted poster or in the pub, you will be mentioned. And this is why i need you guys so early.

Not only will doing this be very fun (lol), but it will also give me more insentive to finish the game, having people urging me on. (GET YOUR ASS INTO GEAR!)

So if your interested, the games set in the medievil times and is about 20% finished. The first five posters saying they want in will be chosen.

Slightly off topic, but would anyone be interested in forming a beta testing alliance? Everyone that joins would get basic training in beta testing, you'd learn how to note things and how to co-operate with the developers and stuff. Just an idea, but then when people need agame beta tested, they can just turn up at a website or something and select some people they'd like to test the game.

Hmm, the whole alliance thing sounds a bit over the top, though interesting, but some training in actual betatesting is a great idea, as betatesting isn't just playing through the game, it's a good idea to make suggestions, note down problems, etc. I read an articleon 'A' which was nice, though rather short

rite so the beta's will be:

Inkoddi (not yet sure whet you'll be, any sugestions?)

Foz (not yet sure whet you'll be, you can choose...)

BaRoN (in thinking some cranky old guy in a pub, who thinks he's real important. He can have loadsa medals on)

Release the frogs (how about a cage full of frogs? instead of 'use frogs', have 'release the frogs'!)

Assisination ( well im almost definate on having a assasin in my game, so you up for the job

)

and Ginny, she's an exception. (a referance to your late dog)

You DONT have to be these characters they're just suggestions that would fit into my game. Really its up to you.

Ohh and damn you m0ds for changing the subject!

Heh, well, actually I'd prefer to take a bit of work off you, and instead of being a character (unless you have a lazy female in the game.. that's me

), there could just be a reference fo some sort, like the wanted poster, or an ad somewhere, or whatever else. Actually I might prefer it being a reference to my late dog, if that fits in with the story.
Mmm, I love medievil games.. fantasy.. nature...

What's the story, btw?

Without giving too mich away,

The story is based around a castle guard, who ends up having to save the villiage... um thats it, but it has twists and things.

m0ds, that's a pretty good idea, why don't you make a new thread, so the idea could develop more, you see with the alliance, the developers could benefit from it too, if there arent any betatesters, or its taking too long, or they just want to do it on their own, they can learn it there...
