3D rendering of Billy

Hey, I was just wandering around the internet aimlessly and I came across this:

It's a character I drew, ages ago, for somebody... rendered in 3D!!! By somebody else!

It feels almost sexual! Definitely not worth starting a topic for, though. What was I thinking?!?

But yet it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Looking good, the only thing that bothered me was that his mouth was too low (well it can be a style okay), and its not very much "defined" (ie. very difficult to spot that he has a mouth.)

No, I was just observing how delightful it is to find one of your character designs rendered in 3D.

Delightful, because now I can sue him, as I fully intend to do, for a lot of money. His money will soon be my money. I will use these shrewdly gained funds to purchase a warehouse in San Francisco, which I will convert into a fully functioning Game Studio. From here, I plan to obtain half of the Psychonauts team through various acts of bribery and/or blackmail. Since the Psychonauts team is mostly made up of half the old Grim Fandango team, I will therefore own a quarter of the Grim Team. I probably won't be able to get Tim, but I hear he has a brother that pee'd next to Stewart Copeland of The Police, once, in a mens room. Together, we will work on Luna, only I'll probably get Danny Schafer to think of some sort of clever name like Grim Fandango, except maybe something like Moonlight Flamenco. Except cleverer, and less Grim-Derived. And, come Christmas 2008, we will release it to an admiring world, and become famous and buy out Microsoft and stuff like that.

As you can see, I was overjoyed to find that picture.

Hehe that reminded me that I did do something in that field ages ago.

I made this several ago:

which I made several years ago to use as a placeholder when I was writing  the books, and the following is the original one (which is the original real one appeared in the real books, not my creation):

(I added the mosaic effects as they were copyrighted materials of the publisher ;D )

I'd be pissed if someone made that rendering of my 2d characters (if I could draw 2d characters) because he somehow forgot to set smooth on the bottom of the shirt. LAME.

The shine is because she's oily, not because I couldn't get the settings right.

Hee, are you really gunna sue me for that? I asked permission of the leader of the game you drew it for so technically you can't + I am in charge of the graphics over there so I have the right to use those pictures.

And also, I made that render ages ago when I wasn't that good at 3D modeling.

I was poking fun at Yufster, I don't really mean any disrespect. It was made to be in a cartoon style in the first place so the modelling isn't flawed. It might look cool with cell shading though, if your modeller has that option.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not mad or anything. I was just pointing out it was the first character I made :)

And also: I'm planning on cellshading it.

I'm not really going to sue you. Jeez. You must think I'm a monster.

I got a kick out of seeing good ol' Billy in 3D.

A good kick. The kind you get from mixing soda and drugs, and drinking it through a crazy straw laced with drugs, and the bottle is also made of drugs, and so is everything you're wearing and also your shampoo. That kind of a kick.

And, Gilbert - how copyrighted is that blue cup of yours? Can I steal it and use it for my own purposes? I really like that.

Oh come on. The guy takes drugs in the first scene, and then Ian takes drugs, and it's all one big drug taking thing
