Scott, I doubt you have to buy English versions of the DVDs if you buy that head, they most likely include the original audio track and English subtitles.

But if you can afford to import that thing you most certainly can afford the English collectors edition as well.

I decided a month ago: I'm going to Japan to teach English.

I'll get to travel overseas, earn some cash, and can say afterwards that I have done something interesting with a few years of my life.

BONUS!

Plus, I might get me that Alien Quad box, which will make it all the more sweeter.

If not Japan, then Korea or Taiwan.

Plus, I may get to meet Gilbot!

Well, it's a plan so far.

But I've spoken to a few people who have done it or knew something about it.

I'd like to take one of those Jet programs -- people recommend them highly, but they're very competitive.

But the plan so far is: (a) learn as much as I can about the programs, (b) complete my degree, (c) apply for one of the jobs, (d) go to England and see my Dad, (e) go to Japan, teach English, and check the place out!

I feel like going on an adventure -- a real one!

After I do that, then I'll plan (f) my next adventure!

As far as I know foreign English teachers in Japan are expected to talk nothing but English when they're at the school, even in the teachers' lounge. At least the ones from programs like JET. Some schools may be more lax than others of course.

I had a friend with red hair and blue eyes who went to Japan on an exchange when he was 15. He kept getting offered sex, in the street, in restraunts, at the schools etc. by women up to their early 30's.

Now excuse me whilst I try to think of something less attractive than red heads.

what?? OSU did something good? I was accepted into my local branch of the college, and have gone on many vists of the main branch (I used to want to go there)

Wow, Japan doesn't have summer break from school? Man!

I would hate to not have a (sizable) holiday from school. A week here and there for midterms is great but not enough to work on your own projects and suchlike. However, I think our summer holidays are wayyyy to long. I'd much rather have only a month off school, maybe only three weeks. Why? Well, because it gets boring as HELL, and then you completely lose your ability to study over summer. And that month should be in September, the nicest month of the Irish Calender.

And what is with everybody wearing different shoes? Everybody must wear the same shoes. And blazers! And cravats. And fedoras!
