Oi!  :=

What did Tarzan say when he saw the big grey elephants?
"Look, here comes the big grey elephants!"

What did Tarzan say when he saw the big grey elephants with sunglasses on?
He didn't say anything, cause he didn't recognize them.

How does an elephant hide himself?
Paints his balls red and climbs up a cherry tree,

How did Tarzan die?
He was picking cherries.

Well I saw it and I got what I expected - heartful swashbuckling adventure. Yes, a bit too long, I was restless in my seat a couple of times, but nothing major. 3 out of 5  :=

Looks good. I do think the edges are a bit soft, there are no sharp edges to the piece, which makes it all look smudgy. The moon is rather squashed aswell  ;)

British teeth?

I kinda liked the first arrangement, but move the text so it is above the.. uh.. parry thingie. Or make the text the parry thingie. Albeit as mentioned, skip background and make the text stand out.

Your second attempt is good but unbalanced. It is mainly the sword that is awkwardly bent. The text and sword act against eachother aswell, causing the eye to wander against the handle where the text is not. Try turning the sword around or place the text more centered over the piece.

Hope that helps you..

I used that function in WTII. You click and add your own verb. Then I got rid of it, since it was as useful as pie. Fun but tedious in the long run.

WTII did got very much past the demo. The whole galore is somewhere for noone to see  :=

For me, the parser is the ultimate interface, but the puzzles NEED to be much more obvious than in a graphical GUI. I personally loathe many IF games since they have the whackiest solutions to puzzles and make the mistake that a puzzle might be to obvious for the player and then make the hints simply too weak. I am however a huge fan of the interactive fiction base, and love a good game immersion, much that you speak of. The riddance of GUI might make the immersion even greater, but with a parser, the immersion can also be totally ruined by an inane scripting, and that means HEAVY work with the parser. I honestly can't imagine how people must have slaved with the scripting back in the old days.

Personally, I'm looking forward to Ghost Rider. The comic is daark.. oh, and Mighty Mouse. Mighty Mouse rules!

Watchmen overrated? Not at all! It is so thought out it hurts my creative soul; I can never accomplish something like it.

I think the term 'graphic novel' rose in northern America where the sole market is filled with superheroes and overall rather silly content. Not that I regard them as simple entertainment, some superhero material is pure gold. We usually don't have these themes in Europe, hence the medium's more accepted nature, especially in Belgium and France. The term 'comic' itself is troublesome as it implies some sort of comedy or equalent (such as 'manga' which more or less means 'non-serious picture'). I can see how few would call their work "graphic novel" instead of "comic novel". In Swedish, this isn't a problem as we use the word 'series' for comics, and the debate has not arisen here.

Oh, and I need to get my hands on a cable connection. Gotta see that pilot! Dam you cable providers!

Go "Dead men don't wear plaid" and borrow classic noir footage for your game. Highly allegal ofcourse, if not clearing with the appropriate channels, but what the heck  :=

There's a Scumm engine out there for your need. ScummVM be the name I think. Sadly I do not have the link, but I am sure someone will pop by with one shortly.

Strange, I've never even heard about night terrors. I've never experienced one, nor has any of my close ones. Seems like a common problem.

It could very well be epilepsy, you should meet a neurologist

I do think Italy won fair. They took control of the game early, lost it a bit but came through. And still superb defense. The game was overall the most entertaining this Cup I dare say, mainly because the referee let those sought out fouls slide. More gameplay, more fun, and those divers starting getting up quicker.

Now France Portugal, I hoped Portugal would win, but alas. France had not much of an attack, and Barthez gambled as usual, but the frickin' ball just bounced the other way.

"Terrorist"? Pfft.. a guy tries to liberate his brothers and ammediatly gets called a terrorist. What is that? :=

Germany - Sweden: Germany wins strongly, Sweden has nothing and starts playing ugly. Some rough bodycheck there. Crap game from our side - feel free tomock us further := Germany still impressing. Them vs Argentina will be interesting.

Suisse - Ukraine: A tight end game, neither one really impressing. I'd say it was a deserving end, Ukraine seemed sharper, but they will not survive the quarter finale.

Brazil - Ghana: I really had my hopes for Ghana, but alas. Brazil is simply better when playing badly. Ghana took the game almost into the box, but never further. Brazil had few chances but how they used them..

France - Spain: I dunno what to say really. France is not impressing, but I guess routine plays the dominant part in this one.

800x600 for all of the aformentioned reasons.

I use 1240x760 and never have the browser maximized for readability reasons mostly. I'm making a website now that is made to look good with a fixed height rather than width using iframe (saga.riotamot.com.. but it's not ment to be published yet, and it is in swedish so.. well.. arr..)

I do think Argentina could pose a real threat to anyone this year, they seem to play well and produce against lesser nations - not something you can say about Brazil.

Argh.. England owned the first half, and I do think we owned the second. So yeah, a draw was fair enough but SOOO CLOOOSE for England there.. needless to say, I screamed like a madman at 2-2..

First off, so nice to hear from you again!

Secondly, being obsessive compulsive I pretty much constitutes being a -holic mentally wise, and I know how you tangle with thoughts. A good sign is white lies, which means you feel the act is wrong but you do it anyway.

Thirdly, do NOT think there are people more deserving of help, there are always people in a worse state than yourself, the question is more, will the help be of use for you. In that case, I'd recommed trying everything out. Be it AA or other..

With utmost regards,
Linus
