I like the textures on the wings. I'd want to see similar texture on the body, it looks rather plastic now. The claws are sweet though..

My english is as my german when I'm that tired.. and my german is horrid ;D

Too bad the developers havn't even tapped the possebilities of the current generation of consoles. But I can't but drewl over the possebility of this sweetheart running Elder Scrolls 4 later. Yummie.. on the other hand, no backward compability, no purchase.

Aah.. all those movies.. wonderful!

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Winds, really terrific in every aspect. I also second the Gilliam suggestion, but if you're into more darker themes, I'd tip about Brazil and also Naked lunch.

What else, what more? I don't necesseraliy think it's about escaping into another world, there's enough drama in ours aswell. But simplicity is bliss, and disguising hardship in simplicity is even blissier (is that a word?)

The new version looks very well, albeit is this the player character? Because if he's got wings, everyone'll want to fly instead of walking, but that's perhaps the way it'll be done. I think the arms look rather nice, even though they're longer than human proportions. It gives him/her/it a primal appearance. Rather brutal, but me likey.. :)

Is it asexual? I think of a male, due to body structure, but it's more or less sexless if you think about it.

The horizon of the fence and the horizon inside the house doesn't match up, if that was what you we're trying to say.. ;)

Don't know if this has been discussed, but is it possible to execute commands BEFORE the screen is updated? What I do know is setting the x and y coordinates to match the players character, in order to make a free overlay (like for instance an overcoat).

The problem lies where the character updates it's position one cycle before the rep_exec positions the overlay accordingly. This is ofcourse not a problem when the characters stands still.

I have tried to exchange the coordinating placement to making two MoveCharacter-commands instead, and also set so characters can be walked through. Albeit, they still don't move exactly in similar ways (and they have the same speed and animation speed). Could be something about the character turning setting, I have to check this out..

Make sure you're using the RIGHT adress, which is www.riotamot.com/cogs or cogs.riotamot.com.. sure, www.riotamot.com will point to the same location, but in a pityful way that messes up the script. I'll change that eventually..

Wouldn't it be possible to make a rendered 3d enviroment with the Raw commands?

BioWares dialogues is mostly predefined in such a sense that NPC's are fixed, but you may do a bit what you please with your character. Judging from those games I've seen, the dialoguetrees are rather straightforward, and because of the setting (good/evil, lightside/darkside, open palm/closed fist) there's basically one reply for being a goody goody or downright evehl, and one more or less neutral reply.

But more or less, if you don't know WHAT gameplay you're writing for, it is impossible to tell whether it is similar or not. What I have seen is basically the LEC-trees, albeit more shallow. Then you can have like "Ben Jordan" uses, where there's no actual reply, more or less an instruction such as "insult" "ask about ___" "compliment" etc..

I'd say a one room tryout in AGS, with complex dialogues that affect each other, or perhaps several rooms showing off different styles of dialogue structure.

Helm: It's not goth, but the death romance is vivid. The scene has nested it's way into all sorts of genres, completely disforming itself on the way. It's gothic in the same way gothic lolita is gothic..

Actually, simulating mutiple perspective points with scrolling rooms are impossible to say the least, unless you cheat a bit. I'd say go with a fixed perspective point, until the sheer width of the page will ruin it. This would happen in about... eh.. 3x the screen width?

On Battle Royale: The first thing I saw from this movie was the class getting instructed through video. This in a DVD-tip segment on some filmreviewing program. I ammediatly fell in love with it. There's ways you can compare it to a Clockwork Orange, albeit it is totally different anyway. It is about frustration, deep cynism, and what everyone is actually capable of. And the bottomline is the complete unneccessity of it all. Sure, it's tragicomical, and the acting is not the best ever, but even though you laugh hard sometimes, it's always a bitter taste in your mouth. And for Kitano answering the phone, this had me stumped first aswell, but it's rather simple I guess. He has no intentions other than to die, and that guys a lousy shot. You have to wait for it I guess, and if the phone rings, the phone rings.. ;)

On NotLD: They used actual guts to munch on. How on earth did they get all those people to put pig intestines in their mouth. Wow.

Nightwish is.. slightly beneath ok. But it is not exactly Rock Opera, it'd fall more under the New-Age-of-Gothic-influenced-Power-Metal genre. I guess. But hey, it's metal. A bit weak, but metal none the less. Closer to being opera values might be Therion. And I'd rather put SOAD at the Punk-Rock counter, but that's just me being a genre-fudgenut.

Honestly, why would downloading their album be a horrifying thing to do? If you download, listen and like what you hear, why not buy the album then and support your favourite band all the same. The only difference is when you heard it the first time. I used to download tons, and what I liked, I bought.

Sylph, I thought you we're supposed to tell them how to rub you right...

Comparing me to Jeff Smith is comparing.. I don't know.. Bill Sienkovic?

Anyho', the third update is online, so now I'll try promo it even more. The biggest problem is how to establish contact with readers. A forum is way to big, I have not got the content worthy that size. A news section is according to webcomic formula, but it's not suitable for the task. Any suggestions?

I've registred at buzzcomics, and today, they seem out of business. Such timing.. blergh.

Limping: Yes it was. It is also responsible for this entry in "Svenska akademins ordlista", and I'm writing from memory, poorly translating;

"Anime: noun; animated violent pornography from Japan"

Cut all the sex and violence? That leaves you with about 5 minutes of movie left!

Puma: I have not seen Pumaman.. yet :)

Ashen: That parallell gaming world is a very nice idea. Much like the Zelda series.

I had an idea for a game, where you get trapped in cryostasis by accident, and must fight to get back to your own time in a postnuclear society. ;)
