I'm not a pro musician (far from it) but I love putting together melodies. I have a YouTube Channel where I post my little songs.

They're free to use for any projects or games.

Here is the site if you're curious: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzKACV21F8qveY1BHg3rGlQ

See you! :-D

...you just don't see the arms swinging so much, rather some subtle changes. Also the hair would be moving and a headbounce on one step, either left or right foot looks also interesting.

Thanks, Selmiak, I'll try making the arm movements more subtle. I haven't touched her hair yet, I'll do that next. :-D

Hi! I've spent all day yesterday trying to fix this up walk-cycle but I seemed to make it worst instead. If anyone can give me some insight, it would be great.

This is how it looks in game:

I have a writer, programmer and musician.

What I need now is an artist who can give me a hand at painting the backgrounds or animating sprites.

Please contact me at Nightfable@gmail.com if you would like to join the team! Thanks!! :-D

Hey, it's Nightfable! :P

I thought long and hard about this and I've decided to create a brand new game using my KQ4 Remake graphics. I've learned a lot from my experience with the remake and I can easily spot the pitfalls, now. I don't have a name for the game yet but I've got the general storyline thought out. I still need to figure out a lot of things but I plan on painting quick simple background placeholders and focus on the animations, this way the programmer can work on the coding as I refine the graphics. I want the game to be similar to King's Quest 5 but have it's own unique feel.

If you're interested in any of these positions, please contact me at Nightfable@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time! 8-)

Story

Twin girls are born, Asta and Nyx. Because of a dark prophecy both girls are separated and they must never be together again. One was raised as a princess in a faraway land and the other by a good witch. When she comes of age, Asta wishes to find her sister. With the help of her adoptive mother's magical powers, she is transported to the land where her twin sister resides. The game begins here, you must find your sister but as you get closer, a sinister fate looms.

Positions

* A programmer
* An artist to help me with backgrounds and sprites
* A musician to recreate my melodies in the King's Quest 5 style
* A writer to help me with dialog and story narration

Music I have composed

Well, I don't know about that, but Order of the Thorne is a commercial game, which is a very different matter.

Yes, but I believe it started as a King's Quest fan game:

A non-KQ branded game with an original story and setting, using backgrounds and sprites you've drawn merely based on KQ4... I don't think Activision would care. (And that's the thing you have to worry about. It doesn't really matter what a court would say, because you never want to fight it in court anyway. The only thing that matters is whether they'd feel like sending you a cease&desist order.)

Thanks Snarky! I'll go in that direction, I believe. I may be wrong but wasn't the reason Kingdom of Sorrow changed into Order of the Thorne because of Activision? That's what I heard.

Anyway, thanks again for the advice!

Hi guys. I've been working on a KQ4 remake that I'm sure you've already seen posted on the Game In Productions forums.

I'm avoiding continuing because of copyrights with Activision. We all know they've been shutting fan games down and there really is no point to working on something that could send my ass to court. I've been thinking it over in my head all day yesterday. Since I have already made a few walk-cycles of Rosella and some backgrounds -- what if I alter them, change the story and character names? Could I then evade a lawsuit? How much would I need to alter, exactly?

I've been brainstorming ideas about a new story similar to the style used in King's Quest. There are plenty of fairy tales out there to motivate and inspire.

As you can see in the image below, I've drawn an evil sorcerer about to kill the main character. I've also been altering certain aspects of my backgrounds. I'm posting here because I really don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do. I've poured many hours of work into my graphics and there must be an answer somewhere.

Thanks. :-\

Hi guys! Quick update, my computer stopped working so I had to resort to recording my KQ6 playthrough on my tablet. I can't play Ponderabilia, I will continue that series when my computer is back on its feet. Thanks for watching! :D

After viewing many how-to videos on making better thumbnails, what I got out of them was to make them eye-catching.

The result is this. Did I do it right?

Hi guys! How are you? ;-D

I started a King's Quest VI Let's Play, on a whim while drinking a bit too much wine, last night. If you have nothing to do, you can drop in and take a quick look.

I won't be able to finish mine in time. I caught my daughter's stomach flu and have been sick for the past two days.

I'll make it available for download when I can. Sorry, guys.  :(

I'm giving myself 2 days to finish the backgrounds, 2 days to finish the animations and 2 more days for the coding.

So far I have my first puzzles working -- it's the first time I've ever used a variable in a game. I'm actually very proud of myself, lol! :-[

My intro works. I'm currently trying to put the game together with placeholders since my backgrounds and animations are largely unfinished.

I'm crossing my fingers I'm able to finish this on time.

Wishing everyone some luck.
