As a previous thread - read Len Green's walkthrough. Iit probably shows what triggers that.

IIRC it is not hidden but just one of thocse non-essential actions tjhat give you an extra point.

But if the scoring for ther deLuxe is really different from the original game - that won't help.

If it's important - refer to Len Green's walkthrough which lists all the points after each action.

I don't think that thre's any other way of knowing but to search through that and see where you dropped 1 point!

Our tastes differ to some extent.  I'm notparticularly thrilled with the so called horror games.  I play them but am generally underwhelmed. I generally prefer other narratives.  One of the troubles with most of the 'pure' hoprror games is that there is actually very little story - most seem to rely on so called shocking sounds and sights - and  I LIKE a good story - amongst other things.
I often read on various Forums how such & such a horror game caused a player to nearly jump off their seat, or be frightened to turn the room light low or off - I have even read that one player claimed that she almost peed herself with fright.
I must be missing something since I hardly appreciate what these folk are talking about.

The woman busker outside a restaurant near to the beginning of the game (just before you get to Mr. Bill's) is playing a melody (without the brilliant words)  from the famous Gilbert & Sullivan Light Comic Opera "The Yeoman of the Guard".
The name of the song is  "I have a song to sing -  O ".

So far (not *very* far yet) an **EXCELLEN**T game.

I have a feeling Anne, that amongst your other great talents, you like Gilbert and Sullivan - at least"the "Yeomen of the Guard".

Hey --- VERY many thanks amanta4ray.
I can't explain this but when I looked at the Walkthrough it listed all the sections in numerical order but for some weird reason it SKIPPED section 2.
Ater your help I looked more carefully and noticed for the 1st time that after section 1 came section 3a. When I looked further I saw that section 2 was right at the end.

That is the section that I NEED - so thanks again.

BTW - can I contact you more personally/durectly when I get stuck again as I imagine I will with this excellent and apparently very long freeware game ?

Hints & Tips / Treasured Medallion HELP needed

I have only finished the very first section i.e. the ocean.
I've just started the second section - the City ~ but ham stuck so I looked at the walkthrough.
It reads :- "Starts at beach.  Walk as far left as possible and talk to the fairy etc., etc.".

But you can only walk 1 or maybe 2 'rooms' to the left and talk to some  guy serving in a fishing accessories kiosk.  No fairy.
Also the appropriate map indicates -----
End pier
Bait Shop
Top of pier

Please clarify and tell me exactly what to do!
TIA
