Looks like we have a winner....
Congratulations Misj'!!!

Thanks for all the most excellent entries everyone

Gameboy - Awesome colour choices and I get a very moody feeling looking out onto the new city from the rubble of old :P
Oraxon - Sitting in the vast space of nothingness with a hint of civilization miles away, very cool! I'd love to see what your space colony looks like closeup :)
Joshy - A second Atlantis underwater :P Leaves me thinking what brought these humanoids to live underwater and is the player secretly watching them from the distance?
Misj' - Really like your cartoony style! I was actually hoping someone would twist the rules a little bit and do something very modern day but not :) A very nice touch with your skeleton and cat also :D
Pinback - Your picture would make an excellent "Game over - your planet has been obliterated" screen, looks like those aliens have some mighty powerful ships!

Thanks again everyone!

This rounds Background blitz is... 100 Years in the Future!

Will Back to the Futures hover cars finally exist? Will the world look as Cyberpunk as Blade Runner? Will we be able to take trips to the moon? Will the apocalypse happen and the world turn to a barren nomads land? Or will everything be exactly the same?

Thats up to you guys to envisage!

Voting will commence May 1st!

Restrictions: AGS compatible.

Sounds cool Lad, I'd like to see your updates when the comps ended :)

Quite a turnout with some really nice entries :)

Idea: Eazy-O
I'm bias as its got a sweet car in the scene and I get death proof vibes :P

Atmosphere: oraxon
Your piece feels eery and brings a feeling that the player is alone. Really like it!

Functionality: Eazy-O
I could see the character walking right up to the car and then heading down to the windmill getting lost in the distance

Technique: Misj'
Very impressed with how you pulled the oldschool pixel style art off :)

Exciting stuff here! Same as Subspark, I work as an Objective-C programmer so give me a yell if you're having issues as I'd love to help get AGS running on MAC and iOS :D

Interesting idea and I am a big post apocalyptic fan but its using rpgmaker, not ags engine right?

I haven't really locked in a consistant style as of yet except maybe in the last six months as proof by a small board of my art :S

I decided to give my hand at something animated and moody using watercolours for the first time.
Below is my entry for the compo, hope you guys like:

A Rainy Day at the Palace Theatre

Recently boarded up but the automatic lighting is still on.
A homeless man has made it his new nest for the evenings.
Fresh graffiti mark the walls as crates containing contents of what was in the inside of the building get shipped out to collectors

Nice work Sughly, I saw this article a few days ago :D

Engine-wise I think people need to start to look at getting ags titles running for iOS and Android

Seen some Android work in this space and I'd be happy to devote some time looking at getting stuff running well on iOS/Mac
