Beginners' Technical Questions / Flashing Background

I have just started working with AGS but I have a problem, when I import a background and play the game, it goes flashing and the background isn't completely on the screen. The resolution of both the game and the background are 320x200, and the background is made with MSPaint. I hope someone will be able to help me out.
