Honest mistake or an attempt at getting twice the viewings? Hmmm... 8-)

Just a lurker here, but maybe it's still worth my two cents...
From the reactions of some of the people who post in the wrong board it seems to me that they don't know that "Adventure Game Studio" is a game engine, some seem to think that this is just another (adventure) game forum, with the broadest definition of the term adventure...
Maybe it would just help to add something like "Home of the AGS Engine" to the header of the forum to make it clear what this forum is about.

I have the same problem when I use the Opera browser, Firefox works fine. Downloading right now.

Wow, I really like what I see so far. Great that your new game will be fully voiced.

I get a virus warning when visiting your site though...

I spent a long time with this as well...

1. step:
Spoiler
Find out how the username for the mainframe is set up -> Emma's email-account
[close]
2. step:
Spoiler
Find out the full name of the Doctor -> the Doctor's email account, but not in the emails, but in the account itself
[close]
3. step:
Spoiler
You need the password to log into the mainframe. This cannot be found in the PC, you need the mainframe and it's options for that

There are not just a few 1st person games out there.
Look at this German blog: http://1stpersonblog.blogspot.de/
Even if you don't understand the language you can still see that there are quite some 1st person games available, new and old.

In my opinion not all settings or plots are suitable for a 1st person game. I'd have a hard time imagining The longest Journey without April and as a 1st person adventure instead. Or I can't imagine "me" (female, 28) wanting to become a pirate, lusting after several women or saving the world from Baphomet. Having other characters doing these things is a whole different story.
But Horror games for example can be far more shocking if the player is directly involved. Some mysteries (like Sherlock Holmes) work well as 1st and 3rd person adventures.

My personal choice are 3rd person games. I can't really explain it, maybe it's because a lot of 1st person adventures I played have been rather sterile.

Sounds just too good - but look at the date. I wouldn't take anything for granted that's announced today...
