Hi, I draw an animation of right walk that make long steps and a little fast, but I like it, BUT the UP Animation is Slower and walk not so long. So there is a big SLIDE on the right-left walk if i set a standard for the up-down animation. And the opposite if I assign the just amount velocity to the right-left animation.

So its possible to have an UP DOWN Movement speed of 4  and a RIGHT LEFT Movement Speed of 10 (or different)?

Thanks

Hi, i use flash, and i draw the character animation:

So now i export, and some doubt about better quality of the conversion.

I try JPG but the program smooth around the external edges of the character, so appear some light grey points that AGS automatically i see is unable to cut well, and see particles that appear around in the animations.

BUT OUTSIDE AGS
JPG is very good quality character looks the same as draw original, but have this problem of smoothing color outside edges, there is a solution?  Without SMOOTH option the conversion to JPG becomes bad and eat out some colors.

Same with GIF smoothing problem happen in AGS after, without smooth the conversion become bad.

Same with BMP " "" " "  " " " " " " " " " " " " "  " and conversion eat many pixel

I LAST TRY WITH PNG and he cut very well Oustide AGS (because of PNG itself) and Inside AGS but qality look a little bit poorer than "JPG with smooth option".

What you use for not loss any of the details (because of the player if walk very near to camera, details will see).

Thanks

Hi i search, but finding none about my simple problem. I have the character i animated that moves too much slow for the step he made. I have a resolution of 1024x768 and the character for that resolution, and so the character by default setting (320x200 maybe) moves really slow. If i change the delay of the animation in View panel from 1 to 9 or 9 to 1 i see the preview working, but when i launch the game, the character moves slow like before like if it is a default speed.

How i can set the walking speed?

Thanks

i was not intend to use the word resolution literally. I have many friends that remember how much beautiful was alone in the dark, but they can't play it today because the graphic quality, even that with monkey island etc... and so on with young people, many of them after a look of low res, visible pixels, quit the game. Hollywood actions film, 3d etc... have even some influence in this.

thanks you for the answers, i use high resolution because i like to put many particulars, and by doing this i cover even the kind of players that seek games only for the resolution (well 1024x768 graphics is not much so for these guys but...). For example Grim Fandango was perfect, high resolution and high script, so the player that play game only for resolution stumble down and without knowing they drink the story. :)

by now i see the guide found on youtube very useful.

Hi thank you, i search for e.g. overlay but i don't understand what it is (i'm new at ags), is maybe the animation of the background? Just for understand what are the limits/problem of high resolution.

Hello, i have a question about heavy resolution game, can be done in AGS a game with 1024x768 at 32 bit, without be lagging or other else bug? It's important because is the first part to run a game project, how much colors and how much resolution, so a game with maximum resolution and many many rooms will be working? will be playable?
With these settings there are some limitations that are to be know?
Because it will be a bad thing to create all very well and then find that doesn't work because is heavy.
Thank you
