I'll have to download and play this, I watched 1.50 of the commentary thing, and already found myself laughing out loud :)
And the trailer!  Brilliant :)

By the way - are you a kiwi? :)

The only negative thing that I found is that while the game uses my favorite control scheme, it's backwards, with left-clicking to look at things and right-clicking to interact. I always wonder why people do that since it's so counterintuitive, at least to my mind.

Wasn't Beneath A Steel Sky like this?
Could be well wrong though.

Listen to Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead :)

Muse has long been my favourite [non punk] band

I loved them until the 2nd Law happened.  Then I set my Muse t-shirt on fire.

From Dylan to Kasabian

How good is Kasabian?  :D
My father is a long time Dylan fan.

Other favourites of mine include The Dead Weather, whom I discovered through another favourite, The Kills.  Arctic Monkeys at the moment, and my first true love were the Chili Peppers.

Also Phoenix and The Strokes, and Future of the Left whom I discovered through Mclusky for when I'm feeling angry :)

Thanks a bunch for this Ghost - no really.
It's really helpful.  I've edited a few things to suit my needs but it's all really easy to understand and it's laid out nicely, so cheers for that.
I'll credit you in my game for the time you'll have saved me with coding, if that's alright? :)

I'm glad you identified my piece as paper-like, Miez, that was the aim! :D

Atmosphere - Miez
Composition - Miez
Functionality - jwalt
Technique - Miez

Miez, your piece perfectly captures the style in a gorgeously retro picture!  It looks like quite a precarious journey up there, and I love the location.  It's overall a beautiful image :)
I feel like the exploration and interactions are a bit more limited in your piece so I've given the functionality vote to jwalt :)

Your artwork looks great Eric! :)

If I hadn't read all the other parts of the thread I probably wouldn't have judged him either.  I would have been taken aback, for sure, and probably investigated further.
As Khris explained it probably is just a joke, but I don't personally agree with this kind of humour.
The Jew example would get me just as cross.

I guess it's how you take it.

I have a question for you, though. How can you judge a man out of context - by reading "bits and pieces" of what was written in the thread?

I think anyone can assume that anyone who writes "#1 Gay Basher" in some kind of proud way has an opposition to them, for one reason or another.  Anybody who writes such a blatant hatred towards another human being is opening themselves up to being questioned and judged.  It's not very nice, is it?  Why wouldn't I want to oppose unjust discrimination?

I've also read enough of the threads to get an understanding of it all.  The bits I skipped over were people's posts like Khris, who share the same viewpoints as myself.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I figured after reading bits and pieces all over the place from this thread and some others, this would be the place to ask this.

Monkey - how can you say your religion makes you a better person and leave '#1 Gay Basher' as the text under you avatar?

I pride myself on accepting and liking all people until they give me a reason not to.
But I have no respect for you at all after reading this. That really makes my blood boil.  Sorry, I try not to hate without reason, but I just can't stand that kind of thing.
I don't see what it has to do with you what other people do with their lives?

This would have been awesome for me. Finish a MAGS, do an OROW.  But I'll be away :(

I might have my own personal OROW :)

Looks damn good!
Better start working on this even harder now haha :)

It's still 10th of June here, too late for me to post?
It's not finished, but it'd be something :)

EDIT:

Here is the entry!

It looks like Miez and myself kind of had similar extreme HEIGHT ideas haha :)

TIME TRAVELLING ROLLERCOASTER:

It's extreme in a number of ways.
For starters.. it's extremely high.
It's extremely loose in it's colouring inside of the lines, although that was extremely intentional.
And it's a time travelling rollercoaster. :P

I agree Dave. I am introducing my girlfriend to Doctor Who, comprehensively, and we started with Matt Smith. Now that she's seen Seasons 5-7 we're going back to Eccleston. Her family is enjoying his portrayal too, but we all agree it certainly is a different show :)

I don't think you can really say "oh this looks kind of like claymation" and then decide that you should do claymation instead.
Claymation is much harder than 3D animation in that you can't do previews and change things around before doing your final render.
You do it and take photos.

Plus, you still need a solid understanding of the way animation works before diving into claymation - don't assume it's a cop out, because it isn't.
It's really hard.

Well the precedent in the show is that Time Lords/Ladies are a sexually dimorphic race. All Time Lords and Time Ladies have regenerated into their respective genders. It doesn't really make sense for him to change sex considering.

I can't remember the name or the Time Lord who did this, but in The Doctor's Wife, the Doctor talks about a Time Lord who regenerated into a woman.
Also, I know it's not an official Who episode, but in that parody with Rowan Atkinson in it, the Doctor regenerates into a woman at the end.

After a few weeks and/or months of rumours that Matt Smith was going to be leaving the 50 year running show which he had been part of since he joined the show as the leading role of The Doctor in 2010, Matt confirmed a few days ago that he would not be returning for Season 8.

Matt will be in the 50th anniversary playing the Doctor, and then finally the Christmas special. He will regenerate at the end of the Christmas special into the 12th Doctor.

Naturally, there have been many rumours flung around about who will be replacing him, including many, many rumours that The Doctor will regenerate into a female.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am in no way sexist, but I would really hate it if the Doctor regenerated into a female.  Not because I think any less of any female actors, I adored Billie Piper, Karren Gillan and currently, Jenna Louise Coleman, but after 50 years, it would just feel to weird to suddenly make the Doctor a female.

On another note, I'm really going to miss Matt, as I feel he was fantastic. However, I feel that for him as an actor, he has grown and it is certainly time for him to move onto some new things :)

Thoughts from anybody else? :D

It seems to come down too hard directly onto the surface, I think you need a more gradual angle of attack :)

What's the point posting stuff about how it goes against the definition of what marriage is and that it isn't actually a marriage as it is is currently defined.. Isn't the whole point of allowing gay marriage that you're CHANGING this definition?
That's kind of the point of the whole thing.

I'd agree with Calin, the tides have turned, it's only a matter of time, a high majority of people want it to happen.
Might as well close this argument before it turns into something messy, I think.
