Thank you, Jack, that means a lot to me. Coming from a South African, even more. :)

I've been following these guys for a while. If you fancy an interesting read, try this.

Same here. Selmiak easily made the best use of the shape provided, IMHO. Failing his entry, i'm going to vote for Kumpel.

Still working on Nikee's Character Development.

Ah, got to love Mandle. It's soul-crushing, well-documented and elaborate, and, as usual, completely true. If you make a game and manage to take everything Mandle says into account, I'm sure you've just made the best game ever created.

I remembered overnight why I dismissed Harmony: the tweening system. Easing out or in seemed like entering twelve people's phonenumbers per frame. maybe I'm mistaken there. From your replies, I gather you're satisfied using it, so maybe I ought to give it a shot again. :) At least I didn't have the user manual printed and glued for nothin'. :)

On a separate note: noticed you coming from a somewhat similar track with a similar outset. Guess we'd both benefit from having a look at each other's projects every once in a while...

I'm migrating from Flash myself, and a beat-up Yugo is a charitable comparison. :) I really had a decent look through Harmony, but a couple things didn't work for me at first glance:

*the unending layer palette
*the compromising xsheet

I never got past the trial, and then their sales rep got pushy, but looks like you're doing some amazing things with it. Think it's worth it, then?

I just had a look through your trailer, and the art is amazing. Noticed you're using Toon Booom by the way. Had a look at that a while ago, and it got on my nerves really fast. How is it working out for you?

Congrats Kumpel!

Spoiler
AGA living near WhiteChapel was too good an opportunity to miss, though I agree The Ripper had little motive and a very different demographic.

To complete my case, it pays having a look at AGA's profile. There are some elements of interest therein, as the murderer is unrelated to AGS.
#11
Congratulations Mandle! You found the victim!

This still leaves the murder unsolved. For a clue to the murderer: scrutinise the victim.
#12
If you got the victim, please state the murderer and why it happened.
#13
Nope, good try nonetheless. :) I'll clear things up:

*The journal, knife, knife set and hat belong to the murderer.
*The eyeball, blood, bandage, cannon (yup, that's what it is) belong to the victim.
*The victim's name starts with an A.
#14
It's an eyeball. Note the bloody windings, too. I'll give some tips:
*the victim is a prominent AGS-er.
*look closely at the dark metal object. It is strongly related to said AGSer.
#15
This is most definitely a topic I tried incorporating in Ponderabilia , and the script I'm writing for PB2 will most likely follow the same path. All ideas are welcome!
#16
The victim is the obvious part. Once you figure out the victim, the murderer is deducible.
#17
Just did that, but boy, that's some crappy image interpolation. :)

Too much going on atm. You've got your skull island, blood pouring, leprechaun fishing... Reduce and purify. In this case: stick to three colors. Pink, black, white: perfect. Make a bold decision in what you wish to depict: leprechaun fishing in sea of blood, or island made out of a skull? In case of leprechaun: clear up leprechaun and make it the focus of attention. In case of skull island: lose the leprechaun. Keep in mind that the fishing line will never be curved like that. It will hang straight into the water.

Also: think of this logo as a circle. Put the island in the center, and have the see bee the lower half of the circle, black sky the top half. It'll feel more balanced. Add the gritty feel once everything is in place, legible and powerful. No sooner. Don't distort your letters to the point where they're illegible: have the red sea flow down into the letters, and place them standing up on a curve.

EDIT: Something like this may work.

Thanks, Otterina. I got a worried message from my mother yesterday, and she made a good (albeit somewhat loud and disconcerting) point. At this point in time, I'm getting all elements and storyline in place, and sketching helps me to outline characters and get into their behaviour. Daragh is helping me with concept and art, and I haven't gotten into the real pixel art myself after finishing Ponderabilia I. I'm always on the lookout for people willing to lend a hand, however.
