Able Gamers helps disabled gamers and offers recommendations for developers at Includification.com . While I imagine there may be plug-in's covering some of these it'd be nice to have the lowest hanging fruit built into the engine and default games.

It seems possible to tweak the AGS engine to use text input with existing games. There seems to be a standard verb structure which could be activated by voice. Perhaps that is how this plug-in http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=43310.0 works.

What color depths are supported for sprites? For example, may I use 16 or 32-bit color for my individual frames of animation? Or is each sprite or view limited to it's own palette of 256 colors?

It could be I forgot to install the universal update to the other computer, so perhaps the version did not match.

Glad to hear OS independence is coming in the new version.

After playing Primoridia I noticed that my usual strategy of syncing save games across my PC's using a Dropbox-like service has failed. Restoring the game on a different PC appears to work for a while, but entering some rooms crash with an error. I recall reading somewhere in these forums that AGS save games are just memory dumps. Does this mean save games are unreliable if my original computer crashes? Even if the same OS version is used?

Any hope that save games can be made to work with restored/different computers? Ideally it save games could be resumed on different OS platforms too.

Older adventure games had text interfaces such as Space Quest 1 (non-VGA) and --I believe-- Maniac Mansion. Now that I've had some injuries I'm returning to adventure games since they don't require constant clicking and keypresses. Yet newer games seem to require a lot of mouse work which could be done by voice.

Is it possible to use a text interface and/or speech recogition for existing AGS-based games? Could it be added on after the fact? (Assumig text based interfaces would be useful with speech dictation.)
