It's Christmas. Peace and quiet surround the snowed-up Edison Villa. The Christmas tree is decorated, the presents are under the tree, Edna prepares the food in the kitchen, Fred reads the newspaper and Ed listens to Christmas tales on the radio.

What is Ted doing on the roof, why does the Christmas mail panic Dr. Fred and why do the presents always disappear on Christmas morning?

Syd finally made up his mind and decided to buy a copy of "The Secret Diary of Britney B". Unfortunately, he reckoned without those spoilsports of the association for protection and safety of children: the book has been banned! But there are always ways to get what's forbidden...

• the "Secret Diary of Britney B." references to the first MMM episode where Bernard, to pull a prank on his sister, publishes her diary, which becomes a unexpected hit.
  
• the tv show mentioned before Syd tries to get a pizza is a reference to a German fan-dubbing of Star Trek
  
• in the Hamstar commercial, the name of the extract used in the food is an acronym for "microwave"
  
• the poster on the right next to the pizzeria advertises a Zak McKraken screen adaptation by Disney; it follows Disney's habit, in Germany, of basing the titles of its (last) animation movies on puns

For this occasion, Bernard wants to show his friend his latest invention: the new security system for his home. This system runs on Bernard's pc, but he hasn't considered a “minor negligible factor”: the pc's operating system is DoorsXP, so it will inevitably act up...

Most of you probably already know Maniac Mansion Mania, a fan-adventure series created by Maniac Mansion fans with the goal of giving new life and extending this historic videogame. The series has an episodic structure so that every author can contribute by adding his story to the universe of Maniac Mansion. Also, there are many resources publicly available for everyone to participate. The series is about to reach has already reached its 100th episode, plus specials and extras.

Sadly (for us) most of the episodes are only available in german, so we at Monkey Island World decided to try to translate them in italian.
So here's one of our last translations. If anybody is interested in translating it form Italian to English, let us know! Thanks to gspit1124, this episode now speaks english as well!

Rumor has it that Golden Studios are making a new Monkey Island game, and Guybrush intends to put himself forward as the protagonist of the glorious saga. Too bad that things will be a bit more complicated than he had expected...

This demo was released by Golden Studios (the same authors of The Secret of Monkey Island - Prision) during 2008 Christmas holidays. The aim was to gather people for the realization of a game narrating the events occurred between the second and the third chapters of the Monkey Island saga. Unfortunately, in the end the project died.

Maniac Mansion Mania is a fangame series created by fans of Maniac Mansion that revives and expands this historic video game. The series has an episodic structure, so that each developer can contribute with his own story to the Maniac Mansion universe.

Maniac Apartment is the second "international" Maniac Mansion Mania episode, after 'Britney's Escape'. This episode, in fact, was born as a "stand-alone" fangame too before becoming part of the MMM series.

Reuben is Hoagie's cousin, and is late for work. He's in a hurry, but he's locked in his own house!

'Maniac Apartment - Hoagie's Cousin' originally was born as a stand-alone fangame, outside the German community, under the name of Maniac Apartment.
Some time ago the MIWF (Italy) released a revised version of it (see the spoiler at the end of the post), including a few fixes.
Today, thanks to the collaboration between the author (Slovenia), the MIWF (Italy) and the MMM forum (Germany) the game can be included in the Maniac Mansion Mania continuity.

In this game:

• two characters, Reuben and his sister Candy, are introduced in the MMM series; both of them are Hoagie's cousins!
• Reuben and Candy are in Day of the Tentacle style graphics!

... in addition, there are a couple of easter eggs (one of them really difficult to find)!

To play the game in fullscreen mode try one of following in Winsetup:

• Direct3D 9 Driver, Native game resolution Mode, Max round multiplier Scaling, Nearest-neighbour Filter;
• DirectDraw 5 Driver, Native game resolution Mode, Max round multiplier Scaling, Nearest-neighbour Filter;
• Desktop resolution Mode, check Dowgrade 32-bit graphics to 16 bit in Advanced tab;

This is a fan-made remake (or demake if you will) of the classic Lucasarts game "The Curse Of Monkey Island", the third installment of the Monkey Island series.
