Hello there,

For those that would like to try a Linux version I chucked it on Itch.io. It was a touch too big to distribute on my site.

Good news is that I've made $2! I can finally retire and I would like to thank you all.

Cheers guys!

Your Mission?

The same as every other office worker. Go home early.

Featuring a secret room, secret music, secret endings, hell, a secret intro. So many secrets. So much content you will never ever find.

Look, push and bother everything.

Important Special feature: The main menu features a pleasant honking sound! Just click "Not that one".

Also features a tutorial for those that work in offices that have never played a computer game before. You guys should probably steer clear!

Itch.io - includes a Linux version.

Game recently updated version 1.1.

Fixed: - Sexy Jeremy crashing the game. Graphical Office Chair Frustration.

Added: - Loads of additional dialogue. The Secret Crumb.

Background information.

This whole thing started as a mini project to build my first ever adventure game room. Exciting. I was talking about it with my boss at work and asked him if he wanted to be in that room and a game popped out of it by mistake. Play-tested by the people within the game a lighthearted tongue in cheek adventure game popped out of this silly idea.

Please enjoy and sorry about the ceiling song.

Congrats on releasing the game.

I like Jason Miller's perky lil' butt!

Is this game really based on where you work with characters based on people you work with?

Yep. My boss is in it and they all play tested it throughout the entire process and enjoyed their characterisations.

It's lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek and my introductory statement gives it a pleasant sense of danger... in hindsight, maybe a little too much.

There is very little hate in this game.

Based on my real life office job The Office (Not That One)â,,¢ will hopefully get me fired.
Not really.
As pointed out in the comments, it's a light-hearted romp through an office of people I very much like.

Your goal? Get things done to leave work early.

FEATURES

LucasArts style adventure.
Multiple endings. Secrets! Erm, a blue cup.
Original nonsense music... yes, there is a song about the ceiling. What a treat.
Tutorial for people who have never played a point and click adventure game before.
Dialogue speed box!
Resolution: 800 x 600.
Scrappy graphics with little to no charm. Apart from the Office Mystic... obviously.
Pull everything.
Based on real people. Angry, angry people.

THINGS

It's been finished for some time, although I've one last last audio track to complete.
Would anyone like to playtest this and give some feedback? I've a real problem with the intro video. I'm not sure it works on different set-ups.
Could I sell this for actual real life money? Man, I dunno.
Is the font too big?
Question: This became a actual real game by mistake, so there are some legacy problems from my messing around. For example, I've got a Nintendo Switch as an inventory item. Should I change it up or it's not a big deal?

Excellent little game. Would like more!

Graphics were unique and very pleasant. Now slightly depressed at my effort!

Good Job!

The speech font needs to be bigger, with my eyes I can barely read it..

Sorry to hear that. Next time round I'll make "Magoo mode".

Hi all,

Here's my first incredibly small LucasArts style adventure game.

UPDATE - 31st August 2020 - Due to lockdown and boredom the games been updated with sound and additions on itch.oi
https://drmcscott.itch.io/shit-in-trumps-bed-the-adventure-game
You could call it a special edition.

The Game
Travel to America in a rip-roaring adventure with thrills, spills and plops. Will you ever get to Shit in Trump's bed?
Quite possibly... yeah.
Should take 5 minutes to reach grim completion.

I want to thank these forums for making such a stupid little idea into reality. Oh and Abstauber for the wonderful Thimbleweed Park template.

Hello there people,

About a month ago I came to the incredible decision to make a computer game. The only type of game I wanted to make was an adventure game but had no idea how to go about it. I gave myself a year to get the basics in place, have a bloke walking about a screen and maybe picking up a burger (eating it would take another 3 months) and then I stumbled across Adventure Game Studio.

Halfway through my very first prototype I stopped for a second and took a breath. I'd created a small microwave and had a flashback of one of my most favourite adventure games of all time, Zak McKracken (with its crude kitchen) and it brought about a wave of intense happiness.

I can't believe I've gotten this far.

Well... To be fair, I'd only gotten this far with idiot-proof tutorials and ugly brute-force coding.

I just wanted to throw out my love to you all, for your passion and elegant coding talent.

Thank you again.

Scott
